The Stating the Obvious Thread

by The Prisoner » 04 Nov 2012 22:37

So as not to fill the board up with the same repetitive guff on every thread can you please toss your cliches and startlingly insightful observations in here.

I appreciate that what is going on is fairly hard to stomach at times, but there really is no need to post "it strikes me that we are struggling to hold on to leads" 24 times on the same thread.

So please use this as a release if you will. A place to post the most obvious things about season 2012/13.

I'll start by stating that "we are struggling to keep hold of the lead" in more games than not, and that this might be down to "not having enough quality in the squad".

we need to spend SPEND SPEND

5 draws from 9 games is unacceptable for a team like Readichelseang

If we draw every game we will get relegated

I love the championship

Some(laying in wait pedant)body will refer you to a previous thread

This is my kind of thread title

We seem ok but i think its down to Tatics

When were up, why not switch to a 4-5-1 system and defend the lead, but it doesnt happen and what happens is then Ledge and Tabb get tired and get overrun in the middle

If people could also keep all their unnecessary exclamation marks, random capitalisations and misused apostrophes to this thread, that would be much appreciated too.

It's called making a point! Understand that people who do'nt use English properly may have problems but, ask someone who has been properly educated!

Perhaps you should ask one of these properly educated people where the correct place is to put apostrophes..

Well something I want to make obvious...

Certain aspects of my life are bringing me much unhappiness right now. The last thing I want to have happen is have my football team add to my unhappiness, so....

From now untl the end of the season I will be using to "expected-good-great" system to evaluate/appreciate each game as follows;

Loss: expected
Draw: good
Win: great

This way no matter what the result I will not be unhappy after any game for the remainder of the season. What I want to make obvious is no matter what I will always love and fully suport ths team. I came into this season, it appears, with unrealistic expectations...having honestly felt at the beginning of the season we had a chance for a top half finish. It is almost certainly obvious that will not be achieved and even staying up looks to be a 50-50 proposition at best. And if we get relegated mabe that is just an indication of where this club, and "The Reading Way", belong...and I have come to peace with that with not a hint of sadness or remorse. :)

The only thing that would make me sad is seeing me, or any of the fans, turn into the same disgrace that was the Wolves fans last year.

No Reading is being held back by "The Reading Way" whether we have SMJ as an owner or a wealthy Russian oligarch. The Reading Way can get us to the promised land but cannot, because it is not possible for it to do it, keep us there.

But that doesn't change the obvious that no matter what happens I will always love and support this club.

It cannot be all bad, only 4 teams have beaten us this season, 5 have failed.
