John Madejski's Wallet When the hell did Alex Pearce become a God-like player who can change around a club's premier league fortunes??

Well conceeding is our problem and Pearce was our best defender last season, he also played very well in his games so far this season. So given Gorkss was the poor performing player not Pearce, it's no surprise that people think things might improve with him in..

But iirc Pearce has been utter gash whenever he's played on the left side of CB, so unless Mariappa/Morrison can play there i'd simply have left it with Gorkss n Pearce.
Some CBs can be as one-sided as full-backs

And when was that last? Early 2010?

You don't remember correctly, he played well to the left of Mills when Zurab was injured, and he was playing better than HNA gave him credit for before that too.

all of our CBs are much the same standard.

i like pearce, voted him as player of the season, but hes not going to waltz into the team and turn everything round

that said, not playing himn for anything other than football reasons, if thats whats happened is odd in the extreme

that aint fair. how do we know he is just being greedy. pearce dont seem that type to me, id imagine not playing is kiling him. for all we know the club is taking the pish like it does with all our academy boys while bringing in over paid trash - only one new signing was on the pitch on sat (and i consider shorey 'ours' anyway and not really a signing)

Note to all. Wanting to play for Liverpool and being attracted by £50k a week does not make someone greedy.

No way is he worth 50k a week. Not a Prem player in my eyes. Too rigid and not quick enough.

So which one was the new signing then, Gunter, McCleary or Shorey?

Also, when do our signings become 'one of ours'?

gunter and mcleary?

also- i doubt there are many prem clubs with a much better record of giving academy graduates chances to play

saints, utd, arsenal, a couple of others perhaps
