Take whether Pearce deserves a "decent" contract up with Hammond because he handles that side of things not McD and Guthrie deserves nothing.

TheSiege Pearce deserves a decent contract and is not getting it

How do you know we've not offered him a decent contract? All we know is that whatever we have offered him, it's not what he wants...his agent / mates/ mother / Liverpool could have been in his ear, setting his expectations far higher than is reasonable for a player of his age and experience. Problem is, a lot of the players are probably as thick as a few on here, simply seeing pound signs to spend on players / wages as soon as we got promoted, and losing all grip on the reality of running the club to a budget...

TheSiege and Guthrie deserves a long run in the team and is'nt getting it!

In what way does Guthrie deserve anything? He's had a couple of good games early on, then criticised the manager, since when he's been very poor.... meanwhile, in the League we've only lost one game in the last five, and that was at Liverpool where Guthrie played!

melonhead summed up to perfection-100% spot on

Agreed. Beautifully written piece. Those wanting rid of McD need to look at themselves in the glass.

TheSiege Let's just sit on our high-horses until we are down in Div. 1 shall we?

What a stunning non-argument.

Ian Royal No I'm bloody not!! I don't know what's wrong with you at the moment brendy, you've gone right bloody mental.

I am not one of the Woodcote, RoyalBlue, Royalee STG brigade. Normally I'm a staunch RTG alongside you. Coppell cocked up when we got relegated, but nothing more than some bad choices in bad circumstances. If it hadn't been an 80 mile round trip during the working week I'd have been right there at the car park trying to persuade him to stay after we got relegated.

And I'd feel exactly the same for McDermott if something similar happens this season. But it isn't at the moment, we've started very badly - both for results and 90 minute performances. In fairness to MaccyD, he hasn't been helped by niggling injuries and loss of form to key players that we'd normally expect much more from.

soz, got you confused with woodcote

In a perverse sort of way I am actually looking forward to January when - hopefully - we will throw £30M at 38 Red.

Probably completely bonkers, but in our predicament, I see this as almost the only way out right here and now.

Who's feeling lucky?!

If Maccy D doesnt pick Guthrie for all 11 positions, I fear that SPARTA will do for him

Improvement result wise if not necessarily performance wise. Keeping a clean sheet needs to be made into a huge confidence boost for us. Content with the reaction after Arsenal, although we have played two piss poor sides.

McDermott earning himself some renewed faith, or at least time from me. I don't mind seeing us not win, or even lose. It's seeing us throw away strong positions, like Swansea, Fulham, Newcastle and Arsenal, I find totally unacceptable.
