1st reason why McDermott should go - No Guthrie

by LoyalRoyalFan » 10 Nov 2012 17:04

So neither Tabb or Leigertwood offer anything going forward.

We have a Premier League class midfielder who has an eye for a pass sitting in the reserves.

Sort it out Brian.

I knew in the summer as well as Guthrie we should have signed another Central Midfielder, had that been bringing in someone like Tom Ince and pushing McAnuff in the centre.

I am questioning whether McCleary can play in central midfield. However I wonder if we should try a big big signing off our rivals in the summer and sign Lallana. Overall we have a better team than Southampton with just gaping holes in several areas

We aint far off being where we want to be.A couple of good new additions and it could come together. We are hardly getting spanked evey week.Pog is starting to look like a duffer tbh he offers very little.Hes basically a taller Simon Church infact i prefer Simon Church..

Yes, yes I'm pretty sure Southampton would have bitten our collective hand off to sell one of their best players to a key relegation rival last July.

It's exactly this sort of incisive, football manager esque logic that Brian lacks so very much.

:) - can't we get Carroll, Kevin Nolan and Agbonlahor too? I'm sure they sell them to us if we asked nicely

LoyalRoyalFan So neither Tabb or Leigertwood offer anything going forward.

I thought Tabb was our best player today.

If someone says "Guthrie has been poor when he plays".... He plays CF every time! How do you expect to show your best when you play in the wrong position? Get him in centre midfield and lets KEEP THE BALL and CREATE! I guess McDermott is proving he is human and is making mistakes... I still have faith in him but he has made loads of mistakes this season. subs, dropping Pearce and playing Gorkss and many more. I guess the prem is a steep learning curve.

Well that's all very well, but it is true, Tabb offers nothing going forward.

So right now our best players are Tabb, who no one at the beginning of the season could figure out what he was still doing here, and Shorey, who was picked up for cover?

Explains alot actually... :?

No doubt the fact that we kept a clean sheet against what must be the weakest attacking threat in the PL and also much of the Championship!
