RoyalBlue And the substitutions? Yeh, brilliant, take off Hunt - the only striker capable of jumping and winning a header - and then proceed to revert to our much favoured hoofball!
Royal Lady According to Reading FC on Twitter, Brian said "The players are disappointed because they want to win, but they shouldn't be - these are good times for Reading" - GOOD times? I'd hate to see what he considers to be bad times if that's the case.

Mondieu Hi Para, you seem stressed, head over to the calm thread.

TheSiegePara Handy These back from the game threads always give me a good LOL. Admittedly, today's was made by Bandini in a different way.
Generally, though, I'm amazed at the amount of Premier League standard managers that appear to post on this site. Whilst, I accept it's a discussion forum, the amount of invective heaped on a decent manager and players from people that seem to think they know better is nothing short of risible.
Chill fecking out. It's only a game. You can still go out in public after losing 7-5 to Arsenal. No one will really care.
Brian is a decent bloke. I'm proud that he's manager of Reading. I'm also proud of supporting my team. Yeah, they might not be Man United but I like them the way they are. I also think Brian is doing a decent job with the squad he's got. A squad that are your football team and appear to be, without exception, trying. I really can't understand the mentality of people slagging off players on here. I'm quite laid back, but the only time I think I've lost it at football, was with a fellow Reading fan, booing Keith Jones coming on as a substitute. Yeah, that's gonna help isn't it.
No problem with constructive criticism but tbh I don't see a lot of that on these threads. Just people who seem to think they know better whining. Better at running the Stadium, running the team, negotiating the contracts etc. etc.
There have always been two ways to support a team, you can say:-the Owners and the Management know far more than I do, so I'll just give 100% support and hope that it all works out OR, if you know about football, football finances, players and the division you're in, you can sometimes say:- "We did that wrong" or "We could have done that better". Do not denigrate those who have knowledge or suggest that, somehow, it makes them less supportive! Supporters stay with the team through changes of Ownership, changes of Management, changes to the playing staff and changes of fortune. Do not have the stupidity to suggest that knowledgable football supporters should not have their say on - a forum for supporters to have their say!

Hello Mondieu, apart from guessing that you're not Spacey, I have no idea who you are. Some cheeky rascal, no doubt.
I'm quite calm. So calm, I'm going to leave this thread to you multiple username bods and the mentally ill, like the Siege and piss off and put my feet up.

Libertine Watching on the internet the camera panned to AZ with about 15 minutes to go. He was slumped back and down in his seat looking half depressed and half disgusted.

Arch Just got finished watching that. As usual, a serious lack of balance here. First of all, I'm struggling to see how anyone could call the performance "perfectly acceptable". There were plenty of shortcomings, but most obviously a lack of creation of serious chances.

Perfectly acceptable performance from a team that is just not capable of producing much better at this stage is the point I was making. There are massive limitations about our squad and it is, to my eyes, a bit of an achievement that they have managed to not get beaten in 60% of the games played so far.
They deserve plaudits and encouragement for that, not ridicule and booing.
AS BM pointed out last week, each season he has been in charge there have been things we have done poorly that have been worked on, improved and become dead issues in time. The one he highlighted as the current focus was the fact that we have been shipping too many goals - guess what? Next game - clean sheet. But no, that's not good enough for some of the "supporters" because we didn't create enough at the other end. One step at a time folks, one step at a time.
I just think it is a tragic injustice that so many are incapable of keeping the faith - still finding his feet in the PL I'm sure, but BM is very good and may well manage to sneak us into 17th even without further investment in January.

TheSiege You absolutely do'nt get it, do you?
We (RFC), are a Premiership club who have recently been taken over by wealthy owners who wish us to progress to European competition. The current owners bought the club as a Championship club - at the Championship value. RFC could have learnt from history and actually assembled a squad capable of competing in this division but, we had learnt nothing and tried to survive by spending Div. 1 money. BMcD is the Manager and could have said:- I want Rhodes, Whittingham, Zaha, Dawson etc. etc. (put your own names in).
The current problems are the responsibility of every part of the Club.

It's 'don't, not 'do'nt'.
And you are a twat.

p.s. I have always known you are a twat and, unsurprisingly, you used the word mistakenly!
What can I say? Twat! Twat! Twat!

I'm guessing that 90% of us are hoping that you get an interesting keyboard sometime soon. I don't think dropping your IQ by 40% is possible though. We'll all support you in the effort tho. You seem like the sort of bloke that could achieve it.
