Big Ern Yes I am sunshine. Even though I live thousands of miles away, i have certainly been to more games that you in the last 5 years.

Good on you. You have to go to games to be a proper supporter, that's for sure. All other types of support are false and fallacious.

And sunshine? Really?

I agree that after today he has probably saved his job, for now. Were out of the relegation zone and could possibly go up another space depending on if sunderland lose and by how much. Also the game in hand is huge!

Can I start to write my 100 lines now?

'I may have been wrong, maybe McDermott really can pull off another miracle'.

Very early days and still some very worrying signs and weaknesses. However, today's second half was much, much better. Out of the blocks really quickly and into Everton's faces (This was so unusual that I reckon Anton must have sent his heavies down to do the half-time team talk!).The usual fighting spirit, higher levels of skill and, most of importantly of all, the majority of players concentrating on keeping the ball, particularly when we took the lead. All in all the team deserved the win, despite some pretty atrocious spells in the first half - not least the Keystone Cops defending for the goal. Let's hope they really can build on this now.

You kind of do, m8, otherwise you're an Armchair fan :| . How on earth are you 'supporting' a club if you put £0 into its coffers?

Anyway, more importantly one Premier League defeat in 7 means he keeps his job until the xmas decorations come down at least.

Maybe BM was looking at the sack today hence the Suit and for the first time the players actually stepped up to the mark and played for him

Ian Royal Sackable after the first half. Unsackable after the second.

:D And in the middle lies the real balance.

Games change, teams evolve and confidence ebbs and flows rapidly.

We aren't very good, that's for sure, but good management, a good half-time bollocking and an indefatigable team spirit can sometimes be enough.

Something to build on anyway.

And I have been very careful over the years to call myself a fan rather than a supporter. I have no problem with that at all but it does amuse me that my views are deemed less valid that those who go to games, whereas of course nobody's views are of any validity other than those who run the team.

Ian Royal SO I think we can put down a better defensive performance against Norwich as purely down to their inneptitude rather than anythign McDermott has done. I was a bit encouraged after that that we might stop shipping goals and get a win. Can't really see anything changing after the first half of Everton again.

TBH I don't really care if he gets sacked at the moment. It's all just too awful.

The same Norwich that is making life very difficult for ManU? Maybe Brian isn't as stupid as you think. I still don't get it, that sooooooo many RFC fans are looking to dump the Man that got them there! From now on I'm going to lable such comments as yours as coming from FF's - FICKLE Fans!

Ian Royal Sackable after the first half. Unsackable after the second. We, and he, absolutely needed that. Now do what you do best Bri and build on it.

You go Ian Royal!! A true FF! One game and all of a sudden it's....."Now do what you do best Bri and build on it."

Keep the faith Man,.......and"Bri" will keep his.

With the squad that we have and the money that was invested, Brian is doing a fantastic job. Gets the best out of this bunch of players

Brian now 33-1 to go first.

Oddly Adkins is a much shorter price than Hughes, but why is Lambert 50-1?

Amazing odds if you think Hughes might hang on

TBF, we were an utter shambles first half and a completely different team second half. He's done what I was looking for him to do in the second half. Get a win. And that makes a huge difference.

Hughes is 1/6 and Adkins is 10/1! Adkins and O'Neil (25s) are the value bets imo
