AthleticoSpizz Morrison and Tabb are cocking a snook at this division ...........not good enough for the Championship last season, its no coincidence that their inclusions have included our best results this one

+1 Tabb has been a revelation. An terrier and a workhorse. Bizarre how he almost disappeared last season.

Snowball The odds on my bet were crap as they were at the game.

Those are very very very good odds for the bets you did, I used to work in Betfred and usually those type of scorecast bets for a striker to be the scorer would be 40-1 max

For instance online for Rodallega to score first and fulham to win 2-0 is 33-1 and thats for a home team, even the away team and to win 2-0 and fletcher to score first is only 60-1.

So for a home team striker to score first in a 2-0 home win 100-1 is excellent odds

(a) we were playing Everton

(b) we don't usually have clean sheets

(c) Maybe they didn't expect Alfie to start?

I haven't doubted you I just said it was extremely good odds hence me then asking where you got them.

Great to get that first win under our belts 8)

Morrison was Man of the Match for me. Superb.

Robson-Kanu and McAnuff had great games, as did Tabb, Shorey and of course Le Fondre.

Keep them coming boys! :D

Stephen hunt all over again. Tabb got bullied in the champ, after an initial stellar run when McDermott first took charge. This season he's thriving on time on the ball, meaning his passings better, and the slower opposition tempo means he's not getting outpaced in the middle. Bizarrely, he's looking every inch a PL player.

I felt he played with 10 men first half, Jobi is just awful on the right. He loves cutting in but has a poor left foot. HRK was our only outlet first half but we sacrificed this to switch them at half time. McAnuff was much better second half and suddenly we looked lively all over the park.
I don't think Gorkss and Gunter were that bad either. Obviously the goal was a horror show but second half I think both were solid. Gunter in particular looked very tidy and kept Baines out of it.

Heroic performance from Morrison of course, good comment above about that moment he dribbled out and went forward. He was inspirational!

winchester_royal Everton fans were unbelievably shite. Not too many will bring a full away following and get outsung by us

Only in the second half - the first time I heard a Reading song today was after 38 minutes. The song was "your support is fukking shit" - and my irony meter exploded at that point!

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed this. Everton fans are class and just because they didnt sing the usual pantomime ' your support is fu ckin sh it' it doesn't make them lesser fans. Give me their support over our muppets 100% of the time.

Well I hate to say I told you so.............wait a minute I love saying I told you so!

Who has been saying, partner Le Fondre and Roberts together all along?

I'll tell you who, ME!!!

What happens when Brian finally does it? We get that long awaited first win of the season!
Maybe I should just go and take Brian's job off him??

I've probably been Tabb's biggest critic but has today showed vast improvements. He's actually pretty nippy. Give him another 5 games and he may look to get his foot on the ball more.

Did you not notice the fire drill in their end when we went 2-1 up?

Given our inability to hold onto a lead, let alone win this season, seeing their 'class' support to walk out in such numbers with ten minutes left was quite unbelievable!

So perhaps their support isn't quite as wonderful as you like to make out and our supporters aren't quite the muppets you claim.

The Everton fans were the worst away fans we've seen so far this season...by quite some distance.

They did sing it. Is that like Miss Piggy hitting Kermitt.

TheSiege Today was all about the result. We did not look good first half and rode our luck, second half I thought we started to look like the last Prem. team. Morrison is really starting to impress, ALF is a good striker but another Prem. attacker might have scored more from his chances. I still wonder about the squad and BMcD's picks. I do not know who our best team is and I wonder whether Brian knows? Tabb has been playing brilliantly recently but, I don't think he is either Prem. quality or consistent enough!

I do think we have have given ourselves a huge lift today. If there is a problem, it is that, home or away, we have given opposing teams far too much use of the ball in all of the matches we have played. I hope that this result is not just a lucky glich!

There was me hoping your lack of appearance was not a lucky glitch & was a permanent feature of HNA.

I will now use exclamation marks to prove I am right!!!!!

We did the same on occasion last season. Brighton away? Stepping it up and getting in an opponents face does work for us if a player doesn't bottle it and plays like a chess player. The thing is we are not sharp enough or currently confident enough for continual one touch football.

TheSiege p.s. Which bit of what I said above was wrong?

Probably not what was said but by whom.
