Walking to the ground after parking in the Holiday Inn car park for only the 2nd time ever - the first being the play-off semi-final v Wigan - I did think we could do with another late winner after a penalty, even if it meant coming from behind after a poor start.

I'd like to upgrade Fed to a 7 on my score, missed the first few minutes and some cracking saves.

Loved the way we controlled the ball in the last 15 minutes. I was expecting backs to the wall, but there were some real silky skills on display in hooped shirts and good patience.

On the topic of the day, I thought Gunter and Gorkss were both indefensibly bad in the first half. Gorkss solid in the second, and Gunter one of our better players. I do feel both he and Cummings leave acres of space outside them with their general positioning that only Kebe has been effective in covering for us.

McDermott hasn't been listening to or reading about doubts. But he'll read the papers tomorrow.

Whatever criticism that can be made about his tactics or team choices, he remains a really drole and likeable guy.

So a 20second review of the game by Harry and thats it! wtf we just beat a team in the top 6 for a relegation fighting team who hadn't won all season and thats it

Gorkss is a liabilty. I'm sick of hearing about Morrison replacing Pearce for a reason when in hind sight, he should be replacing Gorkss who has been awful all season. Well out of his league. Pearce and Morrison partnership I'd like to see.

Anyway, Le Fondre is under rated at the club. He shouldn't be a bit player, a super sub or what ever.....he should be starting with Roberts up front game in game out.

One moan, I'm bored of our midfield. Time to get a decent or good CM in,

MOTD has always had shit bias analysis. Why they didn't show Le Fondre's chance in the first is beyond me!

You know the bit when they were counting the errors for Everton's goal? Did anyone notice how all bar one of them were Gorkss' Four errors from one player in the build up to a goal, now that's impressive.

Gorkss has always been unable to direct a defensive header. Or any clearance really

actually all bar two were Gorks - first was McAnuffs quite amazing mostly up but also central and back into the penalty box skier; and then Morrison flapped a bit

Morrison flapped a bit because Gorkss charged over and shoulder barged him away from the ball.

I may have missed that watching the Fatty Arbuckle comedy stylings of Gorkss in the middle of the box.

Taking a positive from it, I don't think Reading will produce a more shocking 30secs of defending over the next 50 years!

sputnik I thought Roberts did a much better job of staying on his feet today and looked more dangerous today than he has done so far this season.

First half no. In the second half yes. And at one point late on he even jumped for a header - AND WON IT. And whats more - on the edge of our penalty box.

jellytot Good job Reading! Let's see if that transforms our fortunes or not! We are 4 games into a run of 6 where i thought we needed 9 or 10 points from. We have 6 out of 12 so far. If we beat villa or wigan i think we can say par.

To be honest that was probably bm's most important team since becomminf manager. We were awful and deserved to be 3 down at the break. Had we been most of the reading fans would have left early and i really feel bm eould have been fired after a thrashing. Perhaps he dissed out some hairdryer treatment (needed) because we played like a team that had just had a fergie style rant! Perhaps he needed to do that earlier.

Still long way to go but at least we have won!

Ps. Shame norwich beat utd oterwise would have been a great day. As we would have closed on them too!

Why would Brian have a hairdryer?

You make a very valid point

MOTDs coverage was appalling, only showed our goals and one powder puff effort from Alf, showed nearly all of Evertons chances, and on a side note, Gunter, never leave the post for corners, the one that hit the post was an easy head away if you had stayed there.

I was expecting Lineker to bend Kompany over and f*** him up the arse at some point. Talk about brown nosing!

Harry and Alan probably would have joined in as well!
