Simon's Church Chelsea fans on twitter digging some old Benitez quotes

Chelsea is a big club but I would never take that job in respect for my former team at Liverpool no matter what"

Chelsea fans lack passion.

Apparently dissed their plastic flags as well lol

Sunday. 4pm. Sky Sports 1.

Think I've found Kes

I remember being woken up in the early hours of the morning on that day when it was dark outside and my Mum telling me the news that Mourinho has been sacked. Today was a similarly miserable day in London too.

They don't even bother to pretend that they haven't been lining him up to take the job whilst Di Matteo was still in charge do they!

Chelsea really are just the utter dregs of football.

Is there a bigger joke of a football club or football club owner anywhere in the world?

We don't need to give away stupid plastic flags to our fans to wave. Our supporters are always there with their hearts and that is all we need. Its the passion of the fans that helps us win matches, not flags, Chelsea fans lack passion.

LOL - Sunday is going to be gr8

I'm surprised they didn't go for a manager more in tune with the club's outlook and core values - but apparently Ron Atkinson wasn't available.

Not since the two midgets have left Tony Fernandez to it at QPR, probably not.

Had to laugh at some of the comments on here.

'What's the point of an interim manager, they all are'.

A m8 of mine, who is a Chelsea ST holder, who SF also knows doesn't seem to be taking this too well.

I dislike Chelsea as much as the next man, but it's not inconceivable that we will be in a similar position in a few weeks when BM gets sacked after we lose to Wigan, Villa and get thumped by United.

Only "similar" in that we would be looking to appoint a new manager. Vastly different to the soap opera of sackings in West London. Remind me how many managers RFC have had since Abramovich took over at Chelsea....

Various journalist types saying that RDM was sacked as RA told him he had to play Torres against Juventus but instead he dropped him and so was sacked after the game.

They're interviewing some absolute spanners on SSN about this, including an Essien-alike who was going on about how he didn't want Rafa as he didn't want an english manager, which he then explained meant he didn't want someone who'd managed another PL team "we wanted roberto", do you mean the former WBA manager?

Particularly enjoying the one man protest at the training ground too, belmont

Chelsea STH m8 of mine has posted this - best summary I've read

Funny when you actually look at whats gone on over the last 8 years.....

Ranieri – inherited. How many new owners keep the inherited manager? And would he have won the league with us? No.
Mourinho – Club fed up with side show circus. He was damaging the ‘brand’ in the end and towards the end the football was rank

Grant – always interm/temp so not sacked

Scolari – clown. Right decision to sack him 100%

Gus – Interim/temp so not sacked. wouldn’t stay permanent. Not sacked then.

Carlo – arguably should have been given longer. And had to deal with player interference. Could slam the board for this one perhaps.

AVB – clown – 100% right decision (Shouldn’t have been appointed)

RDB – Was supposed to be interim/temp. Wasn’t their first choice but fan power (and Media) and lack of available alternatives forced the club into giving him a 2 year deal
