Thinking about it no new manager will want first game against United, almost a guaranteed defeat. That will be the game that spells the end. Redknapp will fancy the run of fixtures after that.

Big Foot
soggy biscuit Joint worst ever start to a PL season

in the history of all clubs? Who's their record shared with?

There was a piece on it on SSN this morning. After 12 games, the joint worst start to a PL season is QPR (this year) and Everton (either 93/94 or 94/95, I forget which) and they sacked their manager early in the season and recovered to 15th. There was then a list of 4 or 5 clubs (including Swine) who had 5 points after 12 games and all were relegated. I think WBA were one of the other sides on this particular list.

At least Loftus Road looked full to the brim on Saturday, mainly down to Southampton bringing the majority of fans.

Yes - Alan Davis and Sally Bercow agree with that.

Harry left Pompey for Southampton and promply took them down. He is alright when given a shit load of money to spend. But Fernandez is rich and stupid enough to give him another 50 million to spunk away in January. I also think Harry might fancy his chances of getting the Spurs job back, when AVB gets sacked.

Why do this on a Friday, when Harry has no time to prepare for the next game? Presumably Fernandes' decision was made after the Soton game, so why didn't he sack him straight away to give the new man maximum time before the next game? Minor point but just saying

Rednapps appointment is not confirmed,

BBC Assistant manager Mark Bowen and coach Eddie Niedzwiecki will take charge against Manchester United on Saturday

So presumably he'll take over on Sunday.

Probably because the compromise agreement needed to be signed before the parting could be announced.

QPR - So blatently the next financial basket case.

Not content with spending a heap of money on a pile of shit, they now panic and spend even more money trying to get out of trouble by employing someone who has a track record of leaving clubs in a whole world of hurt. That and taking Southampton down.

Only one way this is going to end.

Here he is. You haven't been here much recently Tredder, after some bold talk in the summer.

They took 375 last night.

30 more than Reading to be fair but that's hardy where you want to benchmark yourself.
