exileinleeds Not only has Clattenburg been cleared of all charges, but now Mikel has been charged.

They really are a disgrace of a club.

For the record I have never supported another club...I picked Northampton as my other team when we were last in the Prem- not really done it for me, so I am going with Yeovil this time.

To be fair the FA have said there's not enough evidence, not that he's been cleared per se.
Apparently, it was one person's word against another, although if the other assistants are miked up then I'm surprised that this 'evidence' hasn't been released.

It seems that one persons word is not good enough to charge a referee, but is easily enough to charge anyone that plays against Man Utd

miked up doesn't mean the same as recorded.

You're right- it's not the same, but the best PR the FA could get out of this was to use the other three officials to back up Clattenburg.
I can't understand why they haven't done that ......... unless ..........

As soon as I work out how to, I'm doing a HNA? Reportage at the mad stad and load it up here. Mind you, someone'll probably say it was filmed in a studio in the middle of the Nevada wilds or something.

The other officials denied hearing him say it... As did other nearby players.

Chelsea - nothing to admire, everything to hate.

Pep, if Roman comes a knocking just remember...

In modern football the decision of Pep will not be made for footballing reasons, otherwise why leave Barcelona?

It's all about show me the money and I believe Mr Abramovich has quite a lot of the stuff.

Perhaps but then he had won everything there was to win in the best possible style at Barcelona so what else was there to do? He could have stayed and built a dynasty like Fergie but Fergie had at least been there and done it with another club before he dominated with United.

Think the chance to prove you can do it at a club other than one you've spent most of your career with a noble reason to leave tbh.

I see your point about wanting to test his skills in an "alien" league. Still think the choice of club he makes will be dependent on the ability of that club to buy anyone they want, City, Chelsea, rather than say Man Yoo where he may have some financial parameters to work to. Financialol Fair Play may get some teeth eventually and have a say but I doubt it. He will also want a big swag bag of cash for wages, which, fair enough, he will be able to command after what he has done at Barcelona.

Oh money and flexibility will certainly play a factor, just look at where Mourinho has gone since Porto.

Maybe he knew how fortunate his timing was becoming Barca manager, was aware it is a business where mangers don't usually stay long and decided to go out on a high

Jesus, what an embarrassing bunch their fans are. Booing a manager before his first game and going along with "Rafa Out" banners. It's almost a shame they didn't win, just to see how quickly the banners would have disappeared.

Not quite sure why Benitez thought it would be an idea to go there in the first place. Abramovich clearly has him lined up as a bench warmer until Guardiola will take over the helm in the summer. really can't see what Benitez has to gain. I mean he can't even go on a run in the Champions League now as they're all but out and it really will take a miracle for Torres to start hitting form in the league with they way their midfield is set up. He pretty much has to win the league now or he'll be out regardless as Abramavich has never given a monkeys about the FA Cup.

As a football fan I hope those scenes of booing the manager before his first game even starts will never ever be seen at the Madjeski, what a disgrace to football that is. Horrible lot those Chelsea fans
