MmmMonsterMunch Brian - does it piss you off that various keyboard warriors with little to no knowledge of football management think they know better than you?

Does it also piss you off that despite 2 cup QF's, a play-off final & a league title (done on a shoestring) in the space of 2 and half years people still see fit to boo & moan?

Brian do you realise how much it pisses off us keyboard warriors when it really does start to seem as though we know better than you?

Do you realise that it is because of your previous achievements that people get so pissed off when they see you throwing it all away this season, particularly when it would appear that you had more funds at your disposal than ever before?

Dellor - It does appear that your should clearly wipe the team out, replace them all and win the league in the first season, win the champions league then. After all the QPR model clearly works well for longevity.

Barry the bird boggler Why have all YOUR signings, except Shorey, either got naff all games or have been almost always totally non-descript when they've played?

Au contraire! We would be doing significantly better if Gorkss and Gunter were totally nondescript!

Good lord I'm finding myself agreeing with Royal Blue.....

I'd have more sympathy for Brian if he hadn't come out time and time again this summer and said he'd got everyone he wanted, which either means he's just lying to us or he genuinely believed this squad was good enough. In his defence I'd expected more from his signings and the players need to take most of the blame but even so it's his job to organise them and find a way to win matches. Something he's now managed in just 1 league game out of the last 14.

Still 100% behind him and I'd bet on him figuring out these [problems, but his margin for error is slowly eroding.

1) You don't know how much money he had, he could be towing the party line.
2) Does being 1 point off safety with a game in hand constitute "throwing it all away", especially given the huge gulf in class we are trying to fill?
3) Are the players not massively at fault for not being professionals and seeing the game out? Why is this down to the manager? They are grown men who should understand they are in a battle & act accordingly with seconds to go.

I don't think he's a saint by any stretch & but he is also on a steep learning curve & deserves support not a load of shit.

I never considered myself an RTG but fcuk me this board is depressing.

And yet despite all the constant fcuking whining, no one can actually offer up a viable option for a replacement that would do better with this team!!! Shame on the lot of you. I await more dogs abuse but I don't fcuking care. Be careful what you wish for, because if people keep on whining & booing then Brian will walk & then we really will be fcuked.

Personally I quite like the way RFC is run. Giving unknowns a chance, flying in the face of adversity whatever you want to call it, that's what makes us different. I am glad we're not kneejerk & would hate to be a QPR or Chelsea fan.

If we go down with him, then so be it.

Royal91 Why the hell is Gorkss, Federici, Gunter and L,Wood anywhere near the first 11?

What is this obsession of keeping McAnuff on and bringing him into the middle? He is the least inspiring captain ever, more to the point he's a shit CM.

Why did you not buy a fast striker who can make channels runs as that's the way you want to play? Pog has less movement than a tree.

Why have you not dropped Gorkss when he's been absolutely shit and the 3 other CB's have played pretty well in their cameos.

I thought the Russian money was to prevent our starts from leaving? How much is Pearce actually demanding, it must be f*cking loads?

What are the details on the Guthrie bust up? How did it happen?

Its apparent all the mistakes that happened the last time we were in the EPL have happened again? A lack of quality players is clearly evident and not buying players that fit a certain system.

Why do you keep trying to win in ridiculous situations, we know a 2-2 draw away to Wigan is a good result. 3v3 in the 90min is unacceptable.

What was this 'Strategy' you came up with that allowed us to hold onto leads? Seen f*** all evidence its working!

lololol

agreed a 2-2 draw - shut up shop/park bus in front of goal like norwich did - that is what we should have done - a draw at villa would be a good result, a draw against manure at home would be a good result. sure it wont move us up the league much but it should keep us either out of the bottom 3 or at least within a point

Tuesdays game is massive - id be elated with a win, happy with a draw, a loss would be a disaster

1) From the signings he made, it would appear that he had more funds at his disposal than ever before. Or did they all come free (no signing on fees) and accepted peanuts for wages? How much more (if any) money could he have had? True, we don't know. But if he is towing the party line then more fool him - it won't be the party getting the sack.
2) 1 point off safety maybe but how many points do you really think we are going to pick up in the next month the way McDermott and his team are performing? Wigan was a fantastic opportunity to take three points. There won't be many better. The huge gulf in class is there for all to see but you only get sympathy not points for that. Results, table and performances all say we are doing a great job in throwing away what had been achieved.
3) Of course the players are at fault but it is McDermott who keeps selecting poor performers and it is McDermott who cocked up the substitutions e.g. bringing on Pog when Hunt is far better at defending from the front. Oh and it is McDermott who keeps sending out the message that we will always go for a winner, no matter what the circumstances.

I'd just ask Dellor why he can't think of the right questions himself.

The way he got after Rodgers was all a bit embarassing really, and as much as McDermott comes across as a lovely bloke he comes our with just as much David Brent like rubbish and standard cliches.

I like the bloke, as does Dellor obviously, and his record with the club buys him a lot of time and credit in my book, but if Dellor wants to be tough probing journalist he was tried to be with Rodgers then he needs to start taking a similar line with McDermott as his tactics, selections and changes during games aren't making a lot of sense this season.

Royal Lady Dear Mr McDermott, sir - What is the reasoning behind continually playing Gorkss this season, who seems very out of sorts compared to how he played last season, and yet leaving Pearce on the bench or not even in the squad? Are you really that petty that you won't play someone, albeit he'd be better for the team, because he wants more parity in his pay than he has had under his current contract?

If Guthrie doesn't play the football that you want here, why did you buy him in the first place? Why is Pog seemingly out of favour?

Does AZ try and have any input into what happens on the pitch and how do you stop him? Or don't you stop him?

Do you feel out of your depth this season?

Do you realise that blindly still playing some players, out of loyalty for what they did for you in previous seasons, is damaging at this current time?

How will you improve the team when you can get new players in January?

Do you realise that despite asking all these questions, most fans love you to bits and are very grateful to you for the miracles you have performed thus far. It's only because we love this club and want us to succeed that we feel we must question some of your tactics/actions. Please don't take it personally.

Lots of love to you - Mrs R L xx

Agree with most of that, but I think some of it is a bit unfair. It's an assumption that Brian is refusing to play Pearce out of some sort of contract dispute vendetta. It's entirely possible he may feel that the qualities Gorkss has make him an essential first team player. He is vice captain afterall isn't he? I agree it's a mistake and Gorkss is clearly poor, but you do Brian a great disservice by making out his only reason can be a petty contract dispute.

As for Pog - he seemed to show why he was out of favour yesterday. He gave the ball away plenty, in only 10 miutes, and he's really not mobile enough for our current system of play. Roberts, ALF and Hunt all cover much more ground than he does and much quicker.

I also think the comments about loyalty to players are unfair. Brian, just like Coppell will be picking the team that he feels should do the best job. Just like Coppell some players are letting him down and I think his problem is more faith in their ability than in blind loyalty. And to be honest, there's very few players that applies to. Gorkss and possibly Leigertwood. Some will say McAnuff, but he started the season very well and has only been particularly disappointing since being moved to the right wing two games ago.

I agree, it's alright him criticising players and management on the radio when talking to fans, Adie or Mick Gooding. He should grow a pair and tell Brian what he thinks.
You know what will happen on Monday, he'll say "Mr Smith on Hobnob thinks you should drop such and such".

Brian, do you find the insta-success rantings of office monkeys who spent their youth playing championship manager and that now spend too much time watching sky sports news;

(B)Not so much?

what about....

Given all the publicity about the lobster thermidor themed stately home punch up at Guthries wedding did you have any suspicion before signing him that he might be a slightly disruptive influence in the dressing room?

or

Have you ever seen the Pog's feet both leave the floor when he tries to jump?

If you are right, then why isn't Pearce even making the bench? It is, of course, quite conceivable that the hand of Madejski/Hammond might be behind all of this and McDermott may not have much choice.

According to McDermott Pearce was originally dropped for football reasons, and he was dropped for Mariappa. Morrison was then brought into the side ahead of the pair of them so presumably, the argument would be, that McDermott sees Pearce as 4th choice behind them and Gorkss and you don't need two centre halfs on the bench.
