Agreed, and pre season the addition of Pog and Guthrie looked good.
They looked alright bargain buys, and we trusted Brian knew what he was doing when he bought them. We were wrong.
I think he bought them looking to play a certain way, only to find other players seemed unable to adapt. A misjudgement on his part? For sure...but was he unreasonable to expect our squad to be able to adapt somewhat?, that's harder to say.

Certainly I hope he is learning lessons fast, and I back him to do so.

To date he is proving to be an exceptionally slow learner at this level.

He just doesn't seem to be able to get the new additions playing from the word go.

Are you going to be very very brave one day and come out and say what's on your mind?

I really think you need to be more specific.

Time you took some reading lessons or perhaps just stopped telling lies (can't even be bothered to respond to your childish name calling). I might have been critical of some of the things he was/wasn't doing but I think you will have to spend an awful lot of time trying to find somewhere that I said he should be sacked.

And what evidence can you offer that McDermott is actually learning at this level? The plan to close out games? Well that worked well didn't it!

Fine for the likes of you to criticise those who state things as they see them but at the same time turn a blind eye to McDermott now stating the bleeding obvious such as 'We have to be more ruthless'. That should be one of the first lessons learned yet he's desperately still trying to teach it!

As for turning things around - those with blind faith have been predicting that for some time and have to keep shifting the timescale out. Hopefully one thing that has been learned is that there aren't 46 games a season in this division.

You've used that line already.

Speaking of lines, I suggest you step back from the one that you are getting very close to. Honestly, however clever you think you're being, it's really not worth it.

I'd like us to stick with McDermott for the time being , but what's been a bit surprising is that , looking from the outside, he has allowed a couple of off the field issues to bubble up and effect things, i.e. Guthrie , and Pearce's contract. That apart, he's doing ok in general , though I don't understand why he keeps selecting Gorkss ahead of Mariappa.

Yes. I hope he finds a club to suit him perfectly. We must become an evil, soulless club, no sarcasm.
Edit: v I don't believe he'll spend (much) if he's here in january.

Yes, and with Brians exceptional record in the market I can only see us improving after January
