Maybe 13 games into a season will make it easier for people to understand just how much of the season has elapsed. It will be over one third!

Is that true?

Poor Chewie. If it was a race thing, Han should've refused his in protest.

He got a bath, full body blowdry and and a doggy biscuit instead. He's not stupid enough to be bought off with a bit of cheap metal and ribbon.

Hard listening to that. Questions mostly leading and posed in a slightly confrontational way - ie why are you doing this wrong. McDermott's always going to get defensive and a bit resentful. He has to be careful how he answers because he's got a responsibility to stick up for his players and keep them sweet. For me that's why its a journalists job to listen to what the fans want to know and then ask the questions in the right way. Not just act as a middle man and read them out.

Brian sounds well pissed off. Sounded quite telling that his only comment on Gorkss was that he'd played the games. Sounds like he might recognise he hasn't been good enough at least. Although I bet he continues to play hi,

I also think in a sense it's a bit of a cop-out for a journalist to read questions direct from fans. It almost leads to the defence 'well it's not my question' if the person being interviewed takes offence.

Interesting to hear McDermott addressing Gunter and Cummings by their surnames. It seemed a bit more formal than his normal interviews, similar to how he referred to Harte as 'the left back' after our defeat at Hull last season and he wasn't seen again for about 2 months!

He is not a 100m sprinter, hes a footballer

is it because hes black?

TBM What did he say about Pearce?

he started the season, blah blah the mix wasn't right, he lost out, blah blah. Mariappa got injured, Morro's come from nowhere and done really well and is really popular and could be a big leader.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20500160#asset For anyone who still hasn't heard it.

3:10 onwards, it's like Brian loses his sh/t at the 'McAnuff CM' question and throws a chair at Dellor.

Dellor bottled it in my opinion and let BmD lightly. Not the hard questions we wanted as supporters as to our obviosu failings this season.

Agreed. The delivery was all about paying lip service to fans questions and not rocking the boat and upsetting his cosy relationship with McDermott.

I couldn't care less how he pushes McDermott really as, like any other manager really, he's not going to be too honest and give too much away. As I said earlier in the thread though, of Dellor wants to be seen to be a real journalist and represent the views of the fans he needs to probe and a lot forcefully with McDermott in the post match interviews as that's what a lot of his listeners seem to want.

This interview was a total cop out by Dellor and I'm a little disappointed with him for it.
