Once again Roberts taken off to the clear surprise of the commentary team. He was causing them a lot of problems and didn't look tired, so why McDermott?

In contrast HRK had disappeared from the game but was kept on for much longer. Why McDermott?

Yes, we looked better but failed to convert any chances (ALF with header from corner) and, as we are finding to our considerable expense, you get no points for looking a bit better.

It's not just one game it's the whole season. Clueless.

And how McAnuff keeps the Captains armband amazes me.

Born 'n Bred Royal if Anton sacks McDermott before he's had a chance to change things in January I'll never forgive him!!!

He had his chance to change things in the summer, had money and f*cked it up. Won't even play his two PL signings!

One of the more worrying aspects for me is that even if we do go down, is Brian good enough in the market to rebuild us into a team good enough to stay up next time? All the players he really relies on were signed by other managers namely brendan and steve.

Bring a new manager in now who can rebuild us into a better, more attractive side with better players for next season whatever league we are in! The Wolves job will be a good one for Brian

Alan Curbishley would probably the best bet, unless Anton is going to throw serious cash at the team.

feel really sorry for Brian. Great guy, done wonders for the club, but thus appears to be a step to far. I reckon he will stay for the Man U game and then be given the elbow.

Has a feel of when Rodgers was sacked after the shambLOLes at QPR that Tuesday night. Same again? Wouldn't surprise me.

Ideal
juanpablo you cannot turn this around. I doubt the next person will be able to either

So why should we sack him then?
We've got championship quality players, and the league position reflects that. Sacking the manager won't help, if anything this team is overperforming currently.
If we had a different manager we'd be losing by larger margins. That's what will happen, if we change manager now, we'll be losing by larger margins, instead of turning things around for the better, they'll turn for the worse.
And you people probably aren't smart enough to understand that.

Disagree completely and what makes you so smart? No real reason at all why a new manager should automatically mean we lose by bigger margins. Maybe worth the gamble because if we are going down anyway a few extra goals don't really matter!

Curbs has been out the game far too long

Mark Hughes or Di Matteo would be our best bet

Lacoste

I wouldn't want Hughes but to be fair to him, he did really well with two smaller clubs in Fulham and Blackburn.

How long has it been since AC last managed a football team, must be 5-7 years?
