Big Ern Alan Curbishley would probably the best bet, unless Anton is going to throw serious cash at the team.
feel really sorry for Brian. Great guy, done wonders for the club, but thus appears to be a step to far. I reckon he will stay for the Man U game and then be given the elbow.

Idealjuanpablo you cannot turn this around. I doubt the next person will be able to either
So why should we sack him then?
We've got championship quality players, and the league position reflects that. Sacking the manager won't help, if anything this team is overperforming currently.
If we had a different manager we'd be losing by larger margins. That's what will happen, if we change manager now, we'll be losing by larger margins, instead of turning things around for the better, they'll turn for the worse.
And you people probably aren't smart enough to understand that.

Lacoste I wouldn't want Hughes but to be fair to him, he did really well with two smaller clubs in Fulham and Blackburn.

Curbishley is a good shout, but Dick Advocaat for me.
I don't feel sorry for Brian. He's not good enough, or experienced enough, so he can go somewhere else, with what he has learnt here, and will improve. End of the day, he hasa job to do and he's failed, don't feel sorry for him, don't feel anything for him.
He'll be lucky to make Manutd

paultheroyal Gone before Saturday so he does not have to endure McDermott OUT

Haag Royal Look we are going down. Accept it. So lets not spend massive amounts on a new manager lets do it the Reading way and appoint Eamon Dolan.

Think you might be right. Twitter went into meltdown after Saturday's shambles, and now tonight. I think the fans are split, but there is plenty of mindless fans that will make themselves heard on Saturday. I've too much respect for Brian to boo the poor bloke, but agree it's time for change. He's made a name for himself here and wont be shirt of offers in the near future.

grey_squirrel No new Manager could do anything with that lot.
NO MIDFIELD ALTERNATIVES ON THE BENCH. For a Prem Club, that is abysmal.
