There was a piece on it on SSN this morning. After 12 games, the joint worst start to a PL season is QPR (this year) and Everton (either 93/94 or 94/95, I forget which) and they sacked their manager early in the season and recovered to 15th. There was then a list of 4 or 5 clubs (including Swine) who had 5 points after 12 games and all were relegated. I think WBA were one of the other sides on this particular list.

jumpers for goalposts Why do this on a Friday, when Harry has no time to prepare for the next game? Presumably Fernandes' decision was made after the Soton game, so why didn't he sack him straight away to give the new man maximum time before the next game? Minor point but just saying
