BR2
Mr Angry No post-match punishment for him however.....

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... Jones.html

That seems to me to be an utterly mad reason not to retrospectively punish the player; I was under the impression that unless an incident occured which was mentioned in the ref's report, video evidence such as the above can be used to mete out punishment after the game.......

He did a similarly vicious late challenge last month on Everton's Sylvian Distan.

He really is a nasty piece of work.

Just like most players, most weeks in most divisions-these challenges go on all the time.
Do we want 11 per side games or do we want games where every mistimed challenge leads to a red?
quote]

I stopped reading as soon as you implied that Suarez's challenge was merely mis-timed.

It is clearly, to anyone who has watched or played the game for any length of time (as opposed to a fan of the team that player happens to play for) a deliberate and nasty over the ball challenge designed to injure.

Michael Brown of Leeds would have nodded his appreciation when he saw it.

This week's Achilles Challenge.

He's very good at disguising it but every time his stride pattern is broken to stretch out and rake his studs down the opponent's achilles / ankle. It's very deliberate.

I hope he gets his leg broken soon.

Sorry, but I really do. Before he puts someone else out of the game for months which will surely happen if he carries on playing.

Excellent player but a really really nasty player as well.

Last week's...

BR2 and all other Liverpool fans would say that these are merely mis-timed challenges that go on all of the time with every other player in the League...........

It is clear that Suarez deliberately targets a player in most games that he plays, and that these challenges AREN'T accidental; they are very calculated and very deliberate, and designed to seriously injure an opponent.

I also love the way in the Swansea gif that he pretends to have been injured, going down like a £10 a go crack whore on the Oxford Road!

Ideal oxf*rd scumbag bastard, that "tackle" there is just awful, and the other one too!

I somehow get the impression that you don't like him which would be no surprise as you don't seem to like him or anybody or anything in life.

I don't remember the same vitriol against Paul Scholes,Roy Keane,Patrick Viera,Tim Cahill,Denis Wise etc.,etc. but maybe there just weren't the same number of cameras around as there aren't now in the lower divisions of our football.
BTW none of those were on the receiving end like Suarez is each week.

Always the victims, it's never your fault.

I'm sure at the time, there was the same vitriol against those players you mention. I recall Essien getting a bad wrap when he went through a phase of bad tackles.

And here's another one - and the cheating scumbag goes down as if poleaxed and rubs his head afterwards...

TBF, he did pull out of it. (Probably because he feared wherever he went in the world one day VK would seek him out and get retribution...!)

That is simply awful!!!

He goes in over the ball, then prentends to be fouled and rubs his head yet it is clear that Kompany goes nowhere near him!

To be fair to him, that was last season wasn't it? This season I've noticed him doing less of the diving and rolling around, in fact there's been a few examples of him doing the opposite and staying on his feet and not making a meal of things (his goal Enrique's long ball being one).

Going in with the sly little fouls isn't great obviously, but he's far from the only one.

They might be "sly", but I wouldn't call them "little fouls".

They are over the top, deliberate and nasty.

Another awful challenge by Suarez; 3 feet high going in on - and through - the Stoke keeper, followed by his usual "I'm injured!!" routine; Howard Webb bottled a clear red card offence by only giving a yellow.

Rubbish.

One of the most important parts of really not liking someone is to stay reasonably objective about it.

Ball was coming over his shoulder and he saw Begovic late, pulling his leg away a little. Rightful yellow as it was mis-timed, but his eyes were on the ball. Webb was spot on.

End. You can carry on frothing now.

You could tell Suarez was worried about getting a red card that he pretended to be injured.

Yes, funny that at the moment of collision, as he realises he is going to hit Begovic, he is looking at Begovic.

The ball came over his head, and he was focused on it.

But you carry on your agenda.
