Once were Biscuitmen
Jano My concern is the team will be unchanged, Sir Alex Ferguson will think "oh, it's crappy Reading, I'll play a weakened side so we're at full strength for whatever big game they have next" and we go and win. Which will in turn mean we are stuck with the same rubbish line up for another month before McD realises there needs to be a change.

Yes, yes beating Manchester Utd is just the sort of utter disaster that could dis-rail the whole season imho.

That would be really dis-rail-i.

I hope BM's had them practising defending corners since the Villa game otherwise United's centrebacks will have a field day

I see there are some very depressed individuals on here, enlighten myself as to what you were expecting on this journey within the realms of the promised land.

Comfortable 0-2 win although i might have a cheeky couple of quid on Shorey first scorer at 80/1 with Paddy Power.

Given our record of stacking leads and man utd's record with comebacks, how much of an (improbable) HT lead would you consider enough?

Ordinarily - as in our previous 2 seasons in the Prem - this is the one I would really be looking forward to.

Feel completely different this year, as even if we did pull the rabbit out of the hat and win, we would still be bottom 3.

Furthermore a win wouldn't in my mind make up for the performances against Villa and Wigan.

Still, the pantomime entertainment should be good. "He's behind you!", as RVP ghosts past our defence yet again for his 4th on 21 minutes.

If Reading win tomorrow it would be the biggest result in the clubs 141 year history. So I think a win might just possibly make up for a couple of late defeats on the road.

Remember knocking Liverpool out the cup on the back of arguably the worst Reading performance in 10 years?

It'll either be a dull, routine 2-0 for Utd, or we'll nick a draw and everyone will go home in fits of laughter.
