Don't remember the May game to be honest.

They owe us. They will do us. 0-2. Le Tiss sitting in the Soccer Saturday studio looking over Merson's (who is covering the game) shoulder creaming himself. Secures their season. Nails ours.

Wouldn't be great to get 6 points from these 2 games?, I then think we can get a draw against Arsenal. Man City haven't lost a home league game for years ( runs like that always come to an end against bottom teams????) and finally beat Swansea and West Ham ....that would then be a great first half of the season! Fine margins...come you Royals!

Reading through their forum some of them seem to have a strong hatred towards us. Bit pathetic really. In addition to that some of them think we will get smashed 5-0, deluded tosspots.

I'll go 2-1 Reading. Le Fondre to score a f*cking ripper!

Rode our luck to win there last year, on another night we could have lost by 3, don`t think we will be so lucky this time. 2-0 Saints

3-2 Saints.
Robert, McAnuff

Reading take the lead, Saints equalise, Saints take the lead, Reading pull it back, Reading go for the win, get sucker punched and lose another game, late winner for Saints.

Strange, they're talking about our core support of 8k. Completely forgot they were bringing in 30k plus in League One. Why are football fans on those kind of forums so shit?

Some Soton fan said that they brought over 5k to the Madejski last year

Yep, there are some gimps on that forum. Similar to West Ham, if we take 4,000 away we're all plastics - if we take 500 away we're shit fans. Whereas if we were more like them, we'd be a faultless dynasty of world football. Just can't accept that we won the league fair and square last season and overlook that it came after losing the play-off final the year before.

Nervy draw 1-1

Southampton are to me what Aldershot are to most of you.

We're gonna lose and it's gonna suck. :(

We'll lose.

McDermott will take the positives and we'll "move on" to relegation.

2-0 Saints. Lambert to run riot.

Last season was the most clinical (i.e. lucky and not repeatable) win I've ever watched. We were hopeless yet managed to steal 3 goals. This season we're hopeless and stealing goals isn't easy. This match will show just how far behind Southampton we actually are, and they are struggling in the PL with the best striker in the Championship last year, an England international (lol) and a £12M signing that most Reading fans would spunk over.

F*ck me this game is hard to predict. Personally, man for man I think they may just edge us in terms of quality. But only just. My gut instinct says 2-2 and a feisty old match. If we win it will be by two clear goals.

BcD got it right tactically against them last season. Hope he gets it right this season too.

Every game this season is massive, the old cliche "cup final" however this one is as important a match up as last seasons game at Saint Mary's. If not, more so.
