Windsor bounce back winning 7-1 away at Ash Utd, and that's without Ben Harris.

Superb performance in the 1st half, going in 5-0 up. One touch slick passing football. Bit of a Mark McGhee moment for me. Great stuff.

... elsewhere on Tue eve

Magpies bow out of the Trophy 0-1 H v Sutton
Oxford City progress 1-0 v Bps Stortford

SOUTHP Chesham 1-2 Weymouth

... and Sumas (Wokingham & Emmbrook) carry on their good current form winning 3-0 @ Highworth in the Hellenic Prem. Now up to 5th place above big spending Witney Town: whose Manager left the club on Monday and reportedly the Chairman stepped down today! :?

Alan Partridge looks a shocking setup over there but some belting goals.

Considering Guernsey attracted crowds in excess of 2,000 last season, a crowd of "only" 900+ on Saturday in a higher league should be regarded as disappointing. The majority of supporters are housed in an impressive stand camera side but is the ground really any better than The Spectrum where Guildford City play? I really despair when it comes to watching football in grounds primarily designed and used with athletics in mind. Even temporary stands behind the goals would be better than nothing.

First of all back on here to say how delighted i am with Windsor. Going to be a challenge to stop clubs snapping up some players but if they don't a promotion push next season might not be silly talk.

And RE athletics tracks around grounds isn't it Chelmsford, or one of the Essex clubs, that play with a track but have stands that they can push up to the pitch behind the goals? Costly and still looks silly but better than nothing.

Windsor have a new player called Josh Parker who at 22 has played 7 full international games for Antigua & Barbuda.

Played a few games for QPR, has had loans at other clubs, but, without a club at the moment, and being a Slough lad, he's playing for us. (Well, you wouldn't want to play for Slough would you? )

As you can imagine from the level he's come from, he is class in the CCL. Looks fit and enthusiastic and, although he's actually a striker, played in midfield last night and pretty much ran the show in the 1st half, scoring a cracking goal.

We won't keep him for long of course but it's a pleasure to watch someone with that extra time and touch who is also prepared to talk to the youngsters around him during the game and get stuck in without sighing, shrugging or getting the hump when others with less ability cock it up.

Oof
Slough might need him, with 9 games in Dec and 8 in Jan (thanks to all the Cup games) - they even won in the League Cup last night against Aylesbury - very pleased I didn't go, freezing cold and Extra Time, finished 0-1 after an Aylesbury own goal.

17 games in 2 months!? Wow, that's gonna be a tough schedule.

I hrad last night that Joe Chandiram has gone to Slough... that right?

And how's Jake Parsons doing?

Apparently Chandiram was there on Saturday, but no news about signing, and there's nothing on the forum or website about it. They will need extra cover though, as the fixture pile-up is bound to take its toll, when they've done a day's work and are playing twice a week every single week.

Parsons is looking good, got some neat tricks, sometimes tries one or two extra twists and turns when he'd be better getting the ball over but definitely a worthy addition to the team (esp. as there is decent competition for right wing with Steve Sinclair).

Currently have 4 games in hand over the leaders (Burnham!), 11 points back, but only played 3 away as opposed to 10 home games. Really need to get out of the Div this year, otherwise can see a lot of players going somewhere higher...

Totally agree with you re Parsons from his time at Windsor. Excellent on his day, enjoyable to watch and with the talent to play at a higher level (probably) but makes too many wrong decisions.

Well, having been in touch with folks back home, everyone is buzzing after the last two Windsor games. We all knew that it would take Mick Woodham time to get things working but to go to Ash Utd, remembering that last season we drew 1-1, and come back with a resounding 7-1 victory is not to be sneezed at. My sources tell me that had Ben Harris played and had the pitch been better, the score could quite easily have been something like 12-4

Went to this, Maidenhead were absolutely dire at times in this game and only played one up front. Sutton had an offside trap similar to Arsenal under George Graham.

Freezing cold too and my half time Snickers bar froze!

Is it true that Maidenhead would be bottom if they lost their Truro points and goals?

I hear Keith Scott might be lined up to take over before Christmas.

Hoop Blah
Four Of Clubs ...They brought on one Ray Spence 2nd half - nice to see him give it a go (and be given a chance), back at this level - looked very lively - won a corner and dummied the defence at the near post...

I bet it doesn't last long though!

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but a week after this he signed for Marlow!

...probably needs confirming but I'd heard he'd 'dual registered' - needless to say he bagged a hat-trick for Marlow at Highworth last Saturday. 8)

Don't really care to be honest 8) Maidenhead punch above their weight just being in that league so I wouldn't have thought sacking him will make much difference.

That surprises me a bit seeing as you favour McDermott being replaced.

Dennis Greene has gone from Histon, as they can't afford to pay him - not good after only 5 months there. Maybe he'll return to the Thames Valley?

If it was just Maidenhead losing points and goal they'd still be +1 GD ahead of Basingstoke.

In reality they'd be 3 points and +2 GD ahead of Basingstoke due to Basingstoke having beaten Truro 3-2 this season.
