Right that's it. Another diabolical performance, with another piss poor showing from McDermott in the dug out. Win at the Stadium of Light or resign please.

akranes oxf*rd anyone who remains positive.

Nobody remains positive.

The usual suspects will try to pull off the whole "I'm a better fan - you're all pcunts" thing but their hearts won't really be in it. They just won't want to acknowledge that they've been proved wrong.

Even the most stout RTG has to be embarrassed by this performance.

Not a single positive can be taken from this match.

I've found myself so angry with this performance I was just begging for SOTON to put another in and that makes me even more angry. We we second-best in attack to the club with the worst goal defending record in the PL. while there is always a possibility we will not go down, I will now just enjoy seeing my favorite club and not expect anything. Maybe lowering my expectations to the basement will help...

It could be worse- we could have fluked a win today, and then the dross would have continued........... same formation, same team...........all season long.................
At least when McD gets sacked we may by some miracle turn things around

Pearce might be back now. Albeit at the expense of Morrison who is one of our extremely few bright spots.

I was going to photoshop the bald one in but then, like him, decided that it was good enough.

For those saying it would be rash to sack the manager. QPR got a 2-2 draw away at Wigan today.

Only expectation I have when watching this team is not to be 2 or 3 goals down.

Diabolical. Sorry Brian, great memories and all, but we need to change things to have any sort of chance.

Southampton were absolutely dire and we were far worse than them today.

No more points for us this year I am afraid. We are getting worse not better. Memories of 2007/08. Hard decisions were made too late then. Our ball retention today was awful. Once again cannot understand the subs. If Guthrie is fit to be on the bench, get him on. Legs was appauling again today. Roberts and Shorey the only ones performing at the moment. :(

If some of the posts on here are correct about the team lacking passion, fight and motivation then sorry, it is time for a change of manager and probably captain as well.
