Sunderland (A) - Who do you WANT to start?

by tomrfcurz » 08 Dec 2012 17:16

So after today's shambles of a performance from 1-11 plus substitutes, who do you actually want to see form the starting 11 at Sunderland on Tuesday, obviously not including those who are obviously going to be out (Karacan, McCarthy etc)

GK - Federici
RB - Cummings
LB - Shorey
CB - Pearce
CB - Morrison (or Mariappa, injury permitting)
RW - McCleary
LW - Robson-Kanu
CM - Guthrie
CM - Leigertwood
ST - Roberts
ST - Pogrebnyak (or Hunt, injury permitting)

It really doesn't matter we are not good enough so what's the point changing anything.

That said I'd drastically change things by dropping both wingers and playing three more central midfielders at least it might make us look tighter and more solid and perhaps stop opponents getting through so easily

....................Federici
...Cummings.Mariappa.Pearce.Shorey
..................Tabb.Guthrie
HRK.................Hunt...........McAnuff
....................Roberts

Subs: Taylor, Gorkss, Ledge, ALF, McCleary, Samuel, Gunter.

That's assuming that Morrison, Karacan, Kebe, Pog and McCarthy are still all going to be out.

It's not a question of making a few changes to the team - that's like shuffling around the deckchairs on the titanic.

You can't do anything if you don't have the basic raw materials, and the bulk of the squad simply isn't good enough.

You can't make us a quality PL team, but you can give us more chance and make teams really have to perform to beat us. At the moment, it's just all too easy even for teams every bit in the shit as us.

Dolan in temporary charge.

Leigertwood dropped, Guthrie in.
Roberts dropped, Pogrebnyak in.

Ball on floor. Put more than 3 passes together in the direction of oppositions goal, and shoot at the rectangle either side of the man in the middle.

It will be the same team with the same boring tactics, the clueless boss doesn`t know how to change it.

I'd be willing to wager a hefty chunk the team won't be the same, even disregarding the forced change of Morrison. BMac has always been willing to change a losing team.
