Ha ha, now you're talking.
I live miles away, and play on saturdays, so can only make the odd game. Not a problem when we're not in the premier league, but i won't be able to attend another game 'til we're down.

SPARTA
windermere_royal Half empty stadium.

When we've been averaging 18k+ crowds for some years, how do you work that one out?

He must mean half of a half!

The genuine excitement that comes (hopefully) with watching a yo-yo battle for promotion and watching some of the up and coming players emerging through the ranks - D'Ath etc.

Colin Cheeselog Less mongs that don’t understand how difficult the premier league is for promoted, small teams like Reading who over achieved last season to get here.

Agreed, lets just lay down and accept we have no place in the PL. small mind and team mentality.

I think that you're inexplicably confusing one individual fan's expectations with Reading Football Club's corporate strategy.

Cheaper season tickets
Swindon
QPR
Friday nights
South Stand for away fans only
East/West/North stands for home fans only
Away fans that actually come from the town the team is from

Add to that Tranmere Rovers Away in the second tier again.

Pog would be utterly lethal in a league where pace isn't as important.

Last time we went down and tried a new brand of football, Rodgers was just too hapless for us and nearly took us to League 1.

I think this season has really shown up how out of date our brand of football is; we're like England at an international tournament in the knock outs - outclassed once we come up against decent sides. We have to try and build a style that allows us to compete at a higher level if we go down; a style that involves us keeping the ball instead of hoofing into the channels.

And, with AZ's budget and the investment in EPPP, it would be worth a season or 2 in mid table. We just can't risk League 1 though; we've come too far for that. Which is why we lost our nerve with Rodgers - rightfully so.

Why would being one of the richest clubs in the league mean anything to a fan?

One thing I can't face about being in the championship is the playoff games. I hate it when we have to go to Wembley for a nail biting, heart stopping, hope raising 90 minutes. The pain and heartbreak of losing is just too much.
