Wizard Wel Hal had just tweeted he has an injury so that accounts for one of them.

Maybe he wants to play again weekend

Mr Angry

Wow.

If Anton et al were not 100% certain that player recruitment in January was an absolute priority, then tonight's bench can leave them in no doubt as to the total lack of depth in our squad.

Frankly, if we get anything out of tonight, it will be incredible.

Maybe that's the point! Maybe Brian is actually a genius and is doing this to force Anton's hand. He'll just be hoping it's to his wallet and not a P45!

It's like a sacrificial offering to Sunderland.

@ReadingFC__News: Danny Guthrie was dropped tonight at the last minute after being told he was again on the bench. Roberts also not injured. #readingfc

When Guthrie found out he wasn't starting he walked off the training ground. He'll be gone in January

BM surely contradicting himself? last week says how we need experience prem players in our team, and how we need to dive into the loan market to get them. (which we do). tonight we leave out are two most experienced prem players? purely because he cant handle there egos... every GOOD prem team has ego's to a degree. if BM cant handle them, which he clearly cant... he HAS to go

we want to stay up

Bear in mind though that if they are given a chance, Obita and Samuel will want to make an impression and will work their socks off - so all may not be lost....yet.

Being a cynic, I'd say HRK has only tweeted that he's injured to keep in line with McD - he tried to do that for Feds didn't he, but Feds told everyone he wasn't injured - so HRK knows if he wants to play regularly again, then he has to keep up the pretence.

Guthrie should have been playing today and that's going to come back and haunt McD in my opinion.

Don't blame him, what a joke. 5 pages in and it's still 15 minutes until kick off, pretty much tells you everything you need to know...

HRK didn't even travel with the team from what he's tweeted - if he was injured, he'd have still gone with them, shirley?

Happy to see BM not giving in to the egos. Shame the rest of the squad is so threadbare.

You would think so given that Roberts is there and not playing.
