silchester rovers
4-4-2 all the time doesn't work if you are losing and need to get points to keep some momentum
I think some players are better when playing weaker teams and when they get chances to score - Le Fondre best for home games; Hunt for away games

I expect the fear factor of being totally ripped apart on the break has something to do with it. IF the back four were consistently rock solid i think more adventurous and adaptable strategies would come more natural.

I betting another 45 minutes or so.

Adios Brian. You tried your best, but you are just not up to it.

I hope so. Love the guy but he's had it here. You don't come back from losing a dressing room. He'd need to offload several players, replace them, and then hope he can make a promotion challenge next season. If he stays much longer then next season is also at risk.

If McDermott is still in charge at the end of the season, I will be encouraging everyone to vote for Danny Guthrie as player of the season!

Can we swap him for Parky please? Bradford are making the Arse look like a Conference South team...

McDermott's Last 45 minutes

by Forest Gump » 11 Dec 2012 21:14

Probably a little less than that now I finally get logged on but it is now inevitable that he will not be manager at the Club for more than a few days more so I am hoping that - even though - it looks like we will lose tonight - his players, yes HIS players should make sure that at least they give some kind of performance.
He has had a lot of criticism for fielding certain players even though it appeared there were better options at the Clubs and those players should work their socks off to repay that faith.
I think it is a shame that the reign will end on such a low note after almost three years of relative success but at least if we can get someone else in time to save us from relegation then McDermott might not be remembered for taking us down instead of bringing us up. Its almost too late mind but here's hoping.

I hope they offer him a scouting role searching for youngsters as thats where he is most skilled. Thats why hes a great Championship Manager. I cant see why we'd go for Parky because again you have to dice with the personalties at this level. Again another manager great at growing players.

One man for this job. Anyone got Crawley Town's number as Sir Steve can hopefully become interim manager to become The Messiah Mark II

Do agree. He has shown incredible and stupid levels of loyalty to some of the players and they have let him down really badly. Not even playing like they really care.

This is probably the 5th day this season I've seen someone post that we've watching McD's last 45 or 90 mins. No reason to think you're any less wrong than the rest.

Purely hypothetical as he won't get a look in whilst McDermott is still around.

Wally Downes leaves West Ham by mutual consent tonight. Big Sam very disappointed to lose him...
