Whether 109 or 277 every one is a hero IMO.

A hero? Just for going to a football match? Maybe you need to rethink what 'hero' means....

Darlo Royal There were more than 109. Don't know where 277 comes from, but that seems about right to me. I only had to drive 30 miles home, but respect to the bloke on my Park and Ride bus who had to drive back alone to Reading, having also done so for the rained off game. 1200 miles for that!

BBC Berkshire said 109 fans made the trip.

BBCRB said both actually. Dellor came out with 277 when the attendance was read out near the end of the game, Williams then said 109 afterwards.

109 is pretty shocking. Good to see the fans getting behind the team when they need it.

They showed the Reading fans during the match. I'd say there were definitely more than 109. I estimated around 250.

This is clearly the most pressing and contentious point confronting HobNob at the moment, so could I suggest 109 people went to Sunderland on coaches from Reading and 168 made their own way there, either by car, train or plane from Reading or from among our hardy band of exiles living in the north.

There was definitely more than 200 ... my rough mental count was 220 to 250, so 277 is credible ... those pics are pre-game (we're in two of them - Mrs G's hat is a give-away !).

At that sparsely populated pre-match point, we were looking at all the space and laughing at the programme suggesting Sunderland expected 36K, but hats-off, they did fill it up close to that number.

(Edit - OMG we're in all three)

Do what everyone else does. Ignore the chelski muppet that posts on this board. He writes rubbish and is always wrong.

There were 277 RFC fans there last night. End of.

So now we're believing everything the club says all of a sudden?

Does it oxf*rd matter for oxf*rd sake you Chelsea mong. Anyone who takes time off work for a 12 hour round trip on a freezing night to see that shower get hammered by a team not much better deserves a medal. And for the record in 1981 I took 2 days off work to travel on the coach for a mid week mid table nothing to play for match at Carlisle which was 0-0. So I have done my share of suffering.

Deserves a medal, just for attending a game?
