Snowball IF, a genuine RFC fan wants McDermot to go, that doesn't necessarily mean
that the fan believes another manager can turn things round, that we might
yet see a miracle.
Nor does it mean that said fan is "ungrateful" for the manager's previous work.
Nor does it mean that the fan believes, necessarily, that the manager is inept or out of his depth.
It might just be that the fan believes that accumulating circumstances have made
the manager's position as leader of the current team in the current circumstances untenable.
Sometimes things just go wrong for a team or a business and change is needed.
That might mean that the manager goes, takes a break, goes somewhere else
and then becomes a major success. Look, for example at Mister Brendan Rodgers,
sacked, then leading Swansea to the Premiership, now turning Liverpool around

RoyalBluePlatypuss When does your no-wifi holiday start? Your posts actually manage to be more tedious and repetitive than our midfield play.
Says a pompous **** and the worst moderator ever inflicted on us. Please feel free to add me to your ignore list.
Mind you, strange how you adopt that stance when many of your posts actually reflect the same sentiments.
Incidentally you have more posts than me so I suspect a fair amount of repetition and tedium is evident in them too.

Seeing as your 8000+ posts consist almost exclusively of:
JM is an ego-stroker
the club is shit
McDermott is a clown
I'd find that really hard to believe.

Woodcote Royal So who would have "the depth" to avoid defeat/relegation with the players available to McDermott last night?
A club like ours, at it's current state of development, will never be unaffected with all of McCarthy, Morrison, Karacan, Kebe, HRK, Roberts and the twat Guthrie injured/unavailable.
I strongly suspect that the vast majority of us who want Brian to stay will also still be here next season regardless whilst many glory hunting idiots, who we don't see for dust when we are in the second tier, are in the other camp.
If promotion turns our to be a bridge too far for us this season, sacking the man who was good enough to get us here would be a massive own goal, especially when his efforts over the last decade have done so much to ensure that a very decent young squad is largely in place for a Championship campaign along with 4 seasons of parachute payments.
