Arsenal (H) Predictions

by The Prisoner » 12 Dec 2012 13:47

Arsenal: "No embarrassment" in losing to a league 2 side in the cup (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20689836), fans clamouring for Arsene to go, sales of best players, no silverware for 7 years, the football community outraged by the dive on Saturday....a big team in crisis in need of a timely boost......

Who's up next for them?

Reading 1 Arsenal 5

Lots of chants of "4-0 and you f***ed it up" to boot.

90 Mins of the ball being hoofed up to the 2 smallest strikers in the EPL and landing nowhere near anyone of any use, then after 85 mins the Gooners stick 7 in, im rather thinking we aint going to wins this...well a hunch anyways 3 .0

We are playing them at the absolute worst time. After getting bounced from the cup by a league two side we get to be the first team up?

I just do not see this game turning out well...I am thinking 1-4.

reading 0 - 10 arsenal (chamakh (9), Wenger (1)) Wenger scores last minute. That's how poor we are.

McDermott will go out with the same formation, with the same players and we will go home with the same result as the last match. Completely inept.

But we will 'learn and move on'.

Its the midfield that is doing my head in the most.

This is the team I would have assuming Roberts and HRK are fit and Morro, Kebe and Karacan remain out.

--------------------Taylor------------------- (The only way Federici will be dropped is if he's lined up against a wall and shot multiple times/Same for L,Wood actually)

Cummings---Pearce---Mariappa---Shorey

----------------Tabb-----Guthrie--------------

McCleary------------HRK--------------McAnuff

------------------Roberts----------------------

I've previously stated HRK should NOT be a striker but he can certainly do a role more centrally. He has a good touch and the role enables him to drive centrally. He can turn on the ball. He can arrive late in the box, he has strong aerial ability and he can finish (Many of you believe he's our best finisher)

Guthrie. The only thing I will say is to anyone saying he was shit when he started for us is that he had been playing out of position. He should be playing deeper controlling the game. But lets be honest was any of our other midfielders doing any better than him at the time.

Anderson, Harte, Byrn, L,wood, Alf, Samuel, Obita.

Hunt is just that bad its pointless having him on the bench. At least Obita and Samuel are unknown.

tabb and Leigertwood running around like headless chickens trying to catch the arsenal players

can only see a 0-5 lose

I reckon it'll be another crazy goal fest but with us coming out winners as they don't have the same quality of striker that Man United have. I'll go 3-2 Reading. This relies on a similar line up to United at home, if we have the same injuries and issues that we had last night then 3-0 to Arsenal.

I don't want to predict because I fear the worse, but I'll happily get on my knees and beg the lads to please, please, give your all for this one. I don't care how many we concede as long as we score more than that lot. CMOOOOOOONNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really should be an easy 4-0 away win. Anything less will be disappointing from a team of their quality who open teams up for fun.

If Leigertwood starts then it could quite easily be 6.

This could be a good game to bet on.

I think it's obvious to be at least 3 goals for them, and probably 4+

I'm going to go for 4-0 to them.
