Didn't Rochdale get to a League Cup Final in its early days? Not sure if they were 3rd or 4th Division at the time though.

Makes Steve Stone look clinical. Particularly like the facepalm from the Bradford defender.

Arsenal fans must be fuuuming about this result. Not having won a trophy for a long time now.........stability is key.

Baldwin said the club, who are fourth in League Two, was projected to overspend on wages by £600,000 as they push for promotion to League One.

Nice to see Financial fair play kicking in eh!!

Wonder what their overall position is, as apparently only one player in last night's team cost a transfer fee, and that only £7k.

Rarely do clubs at that level 'spend money' so to speak. Unless it's Crawley or Fleetwood with a sugar daddy. They'll be among the top 3 or 4 in terms of squad size and wages though in the division without doubt.

Winning a trophy doesn't make you stable. Balancing the books as they do better than a;; of the big clubs and remaining in the top four every year IS stability.
