RUMOUR: Roman Pavlyuchenko

by TBM » 12 Dec 2012 00:27

Struggling Reading are lining up a shock transfer window swoop to bring flop Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko back to the Premier League.

The Royals’ Russian owner, Anton Zingarevich, and director of football Nicky Hammond flew to Moscow on a scouting mission last weekend and were believed to be watching Pavlyuchenko.

Probably could have done with him instead of the Pog, however given our current predicament i would be amazed if we were adding another forward of this type who would command a hefty wage....

Wouldn't mind if they had a look at Dzagoev when they are over there too.

Signing a striker is not going to help the current players up front as they get no service from the midfield.

scored 54 goals in 135 appearances for tottenham, mostly from the bench
id say he may well be good enough for us

Two beanpole moody russians, probably both on the bench

This will not end well.

He's easily good enough for us, and his goalscoring record at Spurs wasn't actually that bad. However this is clearly a journalist filling a gap with a 2+2=5 story. He's a Russian footballer that the tabloid sports writers have heard of, we were bound to be linked to him eventually. I wouldn't be surprised to see us linked to Andrei Kanchelskis next.

Yeah, what the hell do we need a nother lazy moody russki for, if that's all TSI are here for, to gather up all the most useless players from russia, then fcuk that! They can shove it. oxf*rd off Zongarovich, take your rubels and shove them up your arse!

No russian = no Roberts, no Kebe and no promotion. Lets not forget that he injected the funds to get us here in the first place and he should certainly not be shoving them up his are, but shoving them into the trasfer kitty to continue what he has started. Russia have some fantastic players...and we have one of them! its just that we are lumping it up to him or forcing him out wide to get the ball.... Fulham had him planted at the edge of the 18yrd box and he was quality... Brian just doesnt seem to get it yet!

Don't know why people are moaning about this would be 100x better than having to have Noel Hunt and Le Fondre up front in the Prems smallest strike partnership.

LOL@ Anyone who thinks Pavlyuchenko wouldn't be good enough for us. Absolutely quality footballer. Our priority should be some ball playing central midfielders, or at least some really mobile beasts like Palacios.

Another Russian player our Russian owner can pay extra from the Russian bank account he has to the Russian bank account the player has, all within Russia outside the remit of the English Premier League, English banking system and finally the British taxation system. Just sayin....

The Real Sandhurst Royal Signing a striker is not going to help the current players up front as they get no service from the midfield.

This, Pog and Le Fondre would be scoring 15+ a season with proper service.
