I think they said on Sky Sports News that it was similar to how much Bendtner (sp?) was fined from brandishing branded boxers. As I said earlier, what a joke.

If that was euros, which is likely, that's getting more similar.

NTRoyal Serbian FA fined a paltry £65900. What an absolute joke, but not unexpected.

That might be paltry in your world m8 but in Serbia (and in my world)that is a lot of money.
It is also a big step up from fines in recent years.

It's bullshit, Vic. One game behind closed doors too. They should have been thrown out of all tournaments at all levels for one four year cycle. Send a proper message that racism will not be tolerated. This isn't a first offence.

My issue was not on the sanctions but the money involved.
Earnings in our country are roughly 6 x on average what earnings are in Serbia so the equivalent fine if it were made against us comes to around £400,000 which is a tidy amount by our standards that the Serbian FA has to bear and is far from paltry.

Similar, but Bendtner was still fined more.

And you wonder why no one takes the likes of UEFA and FIFA seriously. Complete and utter JOKE of the first order. Money and commercialisation over people and common sense every podding time!

Zenit St Petersburg fans want black and gay players excluded

A Zenit St Petersburg supporters' group has called for non-white and gay players to be excluded from the team.

The Russian champions' largest fans' group, Landscrona, said in an open-letter that black players are "forced down Zenit's throat".

They added that gay players are "unworthy of our great city".

LOL @ those cheeky Russians

No doubt UEFA will apply the Bendtner algorithm to any calculation of a fine or possible action against them. I do appreciate it's not the club talking, but maybe ZSP ought to come out and say we'll move to a city where gays and blacks are welcome...groundshare the Withdean or something.

Uefa to appeal all of the sanctions applied by its own disciplinary committee after the England v Serbia game. Assume/hope this means they are appealing for tougher punishments?

I assure that he'll be suitably banned for booting the ball into the crowd like that?

It's one thing walking off in a friendly, another in a major game. I think it is probably the only way forward and the players will force the spineless oxf*rd in UEFA and FIFA to actually address this issue properly instead of fannying around.

Udinese defender Danilo has been sentenced to a year in jail for racially abusing a rival player.

That's one way to deal with the players. Shame Terry didn't get the same treatment!

Maybe they could go back and charge Busquets for his 'mono' (monkey) at Marcelo now

If you are saying a person should go back to their own country because you don’t want them here on the account of their race, which you despise, then yes.

If you are saying a person should go back to their own country because there is a festival on there and you don’t want them to miss it, then no.
