Bottom at Christmas and staying up...... Didn't West Ham do it the year Tevez scored against Utd at OT to win 1-0?

Trouble is we haven't got a Carlos Tevez.....

Infact I have been thinking for weeks now we will be bottom at Christmas. That league table makes us look very lonely tonight.

In all honesty Man City and Arsenal up next if we will have to beat Swansea AND West Ham in order to keep some sort of fight going otherwise we could be well out of it by January.

I've more or less given up on any hope of our survival in the PL (although still hope that a shock victory on Monday could turn our season around! ). Right now, I just hope that the management and team can at least put up a little bit of a fight and ensure that we avoid the humiliation of finishing the season rock bottom.

I seem to remember Sunderland getting 15 points one season. That has to be avoided.... Does anyone know if Sunderland deserved more points that season? I feel Reading should of had more points than they have gathered.

In honour of the this thread & the time of year perhaps a rendition of

"Feed the Pog....let him know its Xmas time" is in order on Monday night?

SPARTA
Woolly68 Now we've reached ROCK BOTTOM we can start to rise again...

Lets use this Guthrie thing to bring us all together, a few new players and a possible new manager.....we can get out of this.

Come on you a Royals

Get your head out of your arse! By the time we've dithered and bargained and lost most of our January targets, the window will close and we will be 12-15 points adrift. We haven't got a chance. You'd need 3-4 new faces at least and in the first few days of January to give us any slight hope!!

"Aye, we're doomed Captain Mainwaring, best we quit now then eh!"

Anton should keep the tenner he was going to spend on us in January in this pocket because we really have no chance of staying up. We have Arsenal next defeat, Man City defeat so will probably be 10 points back after those from safety and a drift at the bottom too. Then we have to face Swansea and West Ham laughing at how shit we are at home too.
