floyd__streete Mocking the bloke is a bit much tbh. Over a decade of good service and some recent very decent achievements.

some would say walking out at half-time is as bad as mocking the team/manager.

Touche. I was tired and full of cold, not enjoying it and wanted to go home. I have made my commitment by purchasing a season ticket for the past 16 seasons so what I choose to do with it is probably my look-out really, I am sure the club don't mind.

working class hero What do you people want from BM?
He has to cut a coat from the cloth provided. He seems to have little cash in the Summer, and I suspect will have little in January. AZ may want to spend but his Dad didn't become a billionaire by wasting millions on foibles. Zingarevich pulled out of a previous purchase and I suspect regrets buying AZ his shiny hooped toy.
No manager will keep us up without a truckload of cash [and even then it is unlikely].

I rate BM highly and hope he is still here when we rebuild next season. Conversely I hope Pog / Guthrie / Roberts have all been sold.

Pog is to RFC what Shevchenko wasto CFC... an albatross brought in by a bloody Russian owner.

RFC are a little club. We will be so for a long time and we need to build slow and steady. Some of you cannot remember the 3rd and 4th tiers in which we struggled. Be grateful for last season, appreciate this, and look forward to next.

If you cannot gain perspective then go away and support Chelsea.

Some great achievements for RFC, however...

He bought players in the summer - how many of them are being used (Gunter - sub, McLeary - Sub, Guthrie - not near the first team, Pog - ignored for a month)?

How many of them have added anything to our team (just Shorey for me)?

Who is responsible for the same dire tactics each week and for picking Gorkss?

Who seems unable to control their players (by all accounts Guthrie, Roberts and Pog have all had something to say)?

Who won't play out most consistent centre half, and best "leader"?

Why are we waiting until we are 4 nil down to show any passion at all?

We seem to be falling back to the sad end of the SSC era where only favorites would be picked.

Maybe we won't find anyone any better, maybe there is no money to spend, SURELY the club can tell the fans what the plan is?

He has a point. We're no longer in the lower leagues. Can't keep using our past as a reason for perspective. This is where we are today and we are not capitalising on the chance. The Championship will be an almighty ball ache to get out of from here onwards. Wasted opportunity and tarnished by naive thinking and management from the club.

Why don't you go and support Rochdale with your small club affection and mentality?

He had significant (in RFC terms) cash in the summer and wasted virtually all of it. He then proceeded to fall out with his two big money signings when he suddenly realised they didn't suit his hoofball tactics.

Kebe is our Messi Why is everyone blaming mcdermott?

If you look into some quotes of Brians previous interviews, he says he spent his budget. Now that was anything between 4-8 million, by far the lowest in the league. Brian did his absolute best getting a balanced squad with that budget. The person (or people) we should be blaming here are zingaravich. So far they have talked the talk but hardly invested anything substantial into the playing squad. If they were serious about staying up then we would have been spending a much more significant amount of money.

Brian is doing his best with what he has had to work with. The squad isnt good enough, he knows that and we know that. Zingaravich is to blame in my opinion. Anyone who jumps on mcdermotts back needs to get their facts right.

What evidence is there that you have got your facts right? McDermott now says he needs players with experience of playing in the PL so why did he waste funds on the likes of Gunter, Mariappa and McCleary and why won't he play the players that have got PL experience?

Mcermott had to balance the squad to get 2 players for every position with that small budget. Theres no good buying 2 players for 4 million each. He has done a good job with that amount of money in my opinion. Mccleary was a free in response to that. What players? Roberts? Pog? I agree in the sense of guthrie but he hasnt exactly set the world alight even when he has played!

Utter nonsense. Two players at 2m each would at least add something a lot better than the Championship outfit we have out there at the minute. BM bought in players of equal quality which effectively brings bugger all to the squad who are out if their depth in the PL.

Sorry, but many seem to be more interested in criticising the team than caring... All I am saying is that if people want instant success then Chelsea is the team. I think much of the angst is that AZ hasn't turned us into the next Chelsea / Man City. Obvious as it is once every club has a multi billionaire investor there will still be 3 relegations and the only people to really profit will be players as wages spiral ever higher.
I expected us to be relegated [and put money on it shortly after promotion but would love to lose the bet]. However, I think I am being reasonable in supporting BM who is in no position to splash the sort of cash spent by our rivals.
You disagree that is fine... but neither of us can prove we are right.

What experienced premier league players can you get for 2m? That suggestion is nonsense in itself. We did well to attract pog and guthrie, normally teams that have just come up have to look at good championship players as thats the level of players that we are able to attract at this stage.

I keep hearing how McD had nothing to spend in the summer. I would, however, point out that he spent more on Chris Gunter than Laudrup did on Michu.

spot on, stick with BM as if we go down we stand a better chance of going back up with him - even guardiola or fergie couldnt do a better job with the resources available

its a catch 22 - southampton spent £22m on TWO players plus more on others. West ham effectively spent the same on two players in wgaes for benayoun and carroll - both on near £100K/week. if you do that then you have probs if you go down - west hams method is better as they are loans - southamptons method is highly risky

for january we need to bring in decent prem players but on loans - bent? arshavin (not sure!)? maybe even bellamy?

eh? as stated on MOTD, etc he is a rare find with that quality at that price, so rare that they are saying he is the better quality v value player ever in the premier league
