The Rouge
Ian Royal If everyone was fit and I could start with pre-season again knowing what I know now?

...................Federici
...Karacan..Morrison.Pearce..Shorey
...............Guthrie..Tabb
Kebe.............McAnuff......Robson-Kanu
.....................Pog

McCarthy, Mariappa, Legs, ALF, Hunt, McCleary, Cummings

With what we've got? Fuk knows.

......................Federici
...Cummings..Mariappa.Pearce..Shorey
..................Guthrie..Tabb
Kebe................McAnuff........Robson-Kanu
........................Pog

Taylor, Gunter, Gorkss, Legs, ALF, Hunt, McCleary

McAnuff only in the centre because I can't think of anyone else. Although I'm not sure there's really any way back for Guthrie, I just can't bear to name Legs with Tabb after yet another shambolic performance from the pair and him in particular. Who plays central mid in the youth? What are Taylor and D'ath up to?

Weird you have Guthrie and Tabb in those defensive midfield positions - surely not what they are good at is it~?

Tabb is more of a defensive midfielder than anything else. Guthrie isn't really an attacking midfielder, but more a deep lying playmaker similar to the way Harper was. Guthrie's job there is to pick up the ball deep and move it on accurately, dictating play and retaining possession, stopping us just hoof it. Tabb's job is to act as a midfield destroyer, get back and help the defence, get forward and help link the attack. Don't really think that's weird at all.... it's what Tabb's been doing really and it's what Guthrie was trying to do.

Yep think that is our best team but Jem and certainly morro will not play.

Also bm does not like Guthrie so he is a doubt.

Worse case scenario bm plays our dear Jobi in cm in the 4-5-1. If he does that i will switch off!

Cannot see how we can avoid being thrashed. Even if city play crap they will score a couple
minimum. We are way to weak in cm and cb with gorkks to keep them out.

Best case 2 or 3 nil to city. More like 4. And we "move on" to the next disaster.

Team to face City defeat

Karacan and Guthrie are fit, say the club.

They should both walk straight back into the side for Tabby and Legsofwood, but you can bet your mortgage Guthrie will be benched and possibly get a pointless 9 minutes.

My guess is Tabb out, laughably leaving Legs in there just to take the piss further, and Karacan straight back in. Otherwise unchanged lol.

Any chance of Karacan RB and Guthrie added to midfield?

We going to get stuffed anyway so the nicest thing to do would be a charity auction to members of the public for places in the starting XI, they can't be much worse!
Lol

Considering who is fit, I reckon this should be our line-up:

--------------------Federici---------------------
--Cummings--Pearce--Marriappa--Shorey---
------------------Karacan--Leigertwood-------
--Kebe---------------Guthrie-------McAnuff---
----------------------Le Fondre-----------------

Basically the formation we used to play on the early McDermott days with the Sig. Gives the option to pack out the midfield but isn't too defensive.

Subs: Taylor, Gunter, Gorkss, Tabb, McCleary, Pog, Hunt

Reading 12/1 to win for a reason, but that would make my Christmas

GK: Fedz RB: Cummings CB: Pearce CB: Mariappa LB: Shorey CDM: Guthrie CDM: Karacan RM: Kebe CAM: McCleary LM: HRK ST: Le Fondre.

I wish I was manager so the dropping of McAnuff, Gorkss and Legsofwood would have been done far quicker.

Would be surprised if ALF was up top on his own!

If one up top it's got to be Pog or Roberts when fit, ALF can't hold the ball up and bring others into the game, the lad is a goal poacher.

I'd put my money on Karacan starting and Guthrie being on the bench. Would like to see Tabb start over Ledge.

Start with Tabb, Karacan and Legs in the middle and try to stop City playing, surely?

Legs is a good player, Tabb has earned his place

They both are better than they have looked playing 2 v 3 every game.

Those three could annoy the hell out of a lot of good sides who would probably resort to cutting out the midfield

Then maybe, MAYBE, if by some miracle its 0-0 on 70 minutes, give up Karacan or Tabb for Guthrie
hope the other side has lost heart and try to nick a goal.

Time to take a leaf out of Norwich's book and play for a draw.

Think I saw Guthrie in reading at around 6pm yesterday, which would suggest he's not playing....

(But happy to be proved wrong)

Pog

Harte.... yeah.
