Pool and Darts It . was . a . foul.
Shorey is entitled to just stand still on the field of play.
Barry is not entitled to use an opposition player as a step ladder.

I refer to my previous post about Mike Dean......

MmmMonsterMunch Don't agree with those saying its a kick in the teeth.

Really?

That is pretty much exactly what the phrase "kick in the teeth" was coined for.

But you're not bothered anyway, as you knew it was going to happen right?

Oh I'm bothered, it just doesn't make me want to "cry". More of a "numb" despondency.

And I think we all knew it was going to happen..........

Yeah, with Pearce, Jem and Guthrie back on, along with this impressive effort, even if left me absolutely gutted, I am far more positive than I have been.

We looked very good against the reigning champs. Strung some passes together in the 2nd half, had a couple of half chances to nick one before our world came crashing down. I would take this every week...other than the injury time spirit crushing defeat.

Guthrie, quality? Surely not.

We lost, 0 points. Decent performance which gives McDermott a chance to show if, after 18 Premier League games, he is now learning about his best team.

Pearce, Karacan and Guthrie all must start our next game, in a 4-5-1.

Cruel luck for us but we've shown today that the 4-5-1 can be used to hopefully pick up some points away from home.

FWIW I didn't think that was a foul on Shorey. Like others have said if he had made an attempt to jump for it instead of backing in then Barry would have had to lever himself up probably by using his arms and the ref would have blown for it.

That said, would have been interesting to see what the ref would have done had it been up the other end.

Karacan made a difference running about and snapping away and Kebe was superb today, got MOM from the summariser.

No coincidence that we conceded after Guthrie came on.

Pathetic. Surely feds could have done better? Not trying to protect shorey but the ball didnt have a lot of pace on it and feds was in a good position.

Not even the most rabid anti-feds muppets will be able to blame him for that goal.
