Doesn't really make a difference now, but we can all do a bit of sofa referring.

I'm going to have to say no. I've only seen it once, and when I saw it I thought it was fine. Cba to look into it more, or stress myself out.

Not a foul.

As many have already said, if Shorey had contested the header then Barry may well have had to foul him to get to the ball. Shorey just ducked and invited Barry to jump over him.

Regardless of whether it was a foul or not, it was a terrible decision by Shorey not to jump that allowed Barry to score.

Tbh having watched it back I don't think Shorey had time to jump. Barry timed his run and jump to perfection and was pretty much able to wait for the ball on top of Shorey

Seen them giving as a foul.

To be honest I have always said with those type when you can't really tell if the defender is backing in or the attacker pushing the back, I say play on. Looks on the replay more Shorey backing in that anything.

Wasn't expecting anything from the game so the only thing that is pissing me off is we play like that against the English Champions but play like oxf*rd against Sunderland, Wigan, Southampton, Norwich, Villa and QPR.

Shorey didn't think there was any threat from Silva's cross, Barry thought 'I'll have some of that'. Goal, no foul.

Good luck trying to jump when you've got someone climbing on your back. Really not quite sure why you are arguing on this one. A jump happens in a split second and if you've got some lanky pcunt ontop of you, using his arms to prolong his leap, you're not gonna get anywhere.

Does it really matter if it was a foul or not? The ref never gave it so the go stands, this is what makes football what it is.

Not according to Barry...

"Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry has admitted that he was a little bit fortunate to have his winning goal against Reading allowed by referee Mike Dean.

Barry headed home from eight yards in stoppage time at the Etihad Stadium, but the Royals players complained that Nicky Shorey had been fouled in the build-up to the goal.

"I haven't seen it again," Barry told BBC Sport. "Shorey was just standing there and I got over the top of him.

"The lads in the dressing room were saying it was possibly a foul, but I'm delighted the referee did not see it as a foul. I will have to see it again to make my own mind up."

No foul.

Might well have been called if it had been at the other end.

Oh well, cricket >> football tonight.

Barry isn't sure it should have stood.

If we had done the same thing - it would have been disallowed.
