Ideal
Friday's Legacy The Daily Mail are trying to arrange another interview with Anton Zingarevich. Should be interesting, as I would expect the January transfer window to raise/answer a few questions.

Why would there be any questions? We're a top 5 club, the stadium now holds 70,000 spectators and we smashed our transfer record 17-fold during the last transfer window.
TSI can pat themselves on the back for a job well done, having delivered on all fronts.

You love repeating yourself, don't you? Yet we're what, 7-8 months into new ownership and apparently it's all just not good enough this getting promoted to the PL unexpectedly. You have no idea what money was available in the summer, nor what is available in January. The 5 year plan/ambition is just that!

So far TSI have more than kept their word. We've remained prudent, as promised, but increased our budgets to be more competitive in the transfer market, again a promise kept. What the manager does with that investment is his choice. Money has been thrown at improving the training ground in readiness for Cat 1 status, and that is ongoing. You though seem unable to look at the bigger picture!

If you step back and look at things then we have a lot to be positive about.

From what I have been told the 5 year plan was to get to the Premiership not to stay up for 5 years.
Going up early meant expenditure not scheduled in or accounted for (although the additions to the training ground are not much in financial terms IAH.)

However sad about yesterday but I remain convinced your season will start in the new year and I still believe you will stay up...

Were you this positive when you were 3rd from bottom in the Championship or did you only start supporting them when they got to the top? :D

It really doesn't matter to me one iota if you stay or go but once the team starts to believe the results will come. Luckily enough for you there is a lot of shite at the bottom half of the table which you can get results from (admittedly you systematically failed thus far ) but come the revolution - err the new year- I see 16th for you come May time..

Will be very interesting to see how deep (or not so, as the case may be) Anton's pockets really are come January.

His 5 year plan to get us as an established Premier League club looks laughable at present, you just can't do it with £5m unless you already have a decent squad previously built.

Yes, but the income wouldn't have been accounted for either would it?

So far Income > Expenditure.

What a stupid point to make. Income should be > expenditure, certainly in our first season in the Premier League, unless you want the club to gamble on it's long-term future. Perhaps you should be popping down to Chelsea for your football instead?

When you come up, especially with a weak squad as we had, it's the exact right time to front load your investment on the back of the guaranteed Premier League income. It would still need to be done with a sensible head on of course, and with the right contract clauses to protect against relegation, but if you don't invest in that first season you're a lot more likely to go down than if you fail to invest, get relegated, then look to yo-yo straight back up again.

Why would it be gambling the long term future to front load investment off the back of the PL millions?

Why are so many people unable to tell the difference between investment and gambling? In order to expand a business, you often have to spend more than your current income in the short term. You'd be better off telling me to pop down to Swansea, Norwich or West Brom................

Indeed but few here really apreciate how deep Chairman was (and remains??) in the doo doo. He sold off favourite statues to keep himself afloat for example. Guy's like that don't sell off the family silver unless they are absolutely forced to. If I had to guess, his share went on debt repayment(s)

So many of his companies are struggling with debt the recession has really taken a toll and IMHO would not have sold out to Anton unless he really really had too. In fact i would go so far as to suggest if it was totally his decision He would have taken a calculated risk on spending 15m at the start of the season with the hope of staying up. last time IIRC it was Coppell who refused to spend on transfers not him. Also the big killer is player wages. The wage bill must be around 1-2m PM. Which is a tidy sum in no uncertain terms. Not ManC level but high for a struggler.

Anton certainly talks the talk but is he ready to walk...Hmm I'm not so sure??

Since his takeover does anyone feel he has delivered anything he has said? i could be wrong but it seems like a lot of false promises. firstly he said he will expand the stadium if we stayed up in the prem, next thing i read is him saying in the next 5 years. he also claimed to be able to buy players with funds that were not previously available under SJM, surely SJM could have afforded the 5mil we spent on players in the last window. (yes i know there was signing on fees too)
i do however believe he was a major part in the signing of pog and that he even spoke with gylfi personally to try and persuade him to join us(not that it done any good).

What im trying to say is, he has not lived up to the promises he made initally, SJM always said he would only sell to someone with deep pockets, as of yet we are yet to see anything over than "small change"

true mate but it might have been beneficial if you maybe looked around a bit more and saw no less than 10 threads similar to this on the first page of the team board and club policies board.

F**k me 5 years flew by didn't they?!

If coughing up in-excess of £10m to bring the players in that we have already, plus the ones that will come in next month isn't enough. The fact is we have some unappreciative, over-expectant, ignorant fans that will never be happy with what they get.

10mil was obviously not enough, hence why we are where we are. and unappreciative??????? no one asked him to buy the club, he wanted to, so atleast live up to what you promise
