Swansea predictions

by Jackson Corner » 24 Dec 2012 04:25

This is the team that passed Arsenal off the park at the Emirates. The same Arsenal that humiliated us last Monday. They always beat us. We got away with a spawny point at there place. Expectations will be high after Saturday but misplaced. Sadly there superior passing and ball retention will give them an easy 3-0 win.

If we send the team that played MC, we may just pull off a surprise on this one....and add in the Subs a little ealier, and the shock goal for Reading is on.

If we play the 4-5-1/4-3-3 system off of the Man City game:

Reading 1-1 Swansea
(Kebe, 20) (Michu 25)

If we go back to 4-4-2:

Reading 1-4 Swansea
(Kebe 80) (Michu 2, 22, 32, Dyer 50)

Got to get a result some how. We need to take points from most of our home games now.

However, if Swansea bring their A game they will out pass and pace us. Looking at 2 or 3 nil defeat.
if they are off their game and we play as well as we can then we have a chance. We arr
Not good enough to really go.for it as they will pick us off. Keep it tight and and br clinical.
Play Guthrie and Jem.. Play tabb and drop leig.. But we all know Brian loves leig.

Swansea is the kind of model our football shoild be following not hoof amd run! Get the hoofers out.

Contradiction of the year.

FTR I'm hoping we can buck the trend and sneak a 2-1 win.

3-0 to the Swans. We won't have 2 fluke goals or a heroic McCarthy this time.

Hopefully we can sneak a 1-0. Unlike Man City they aren't as good defensively to resist our lightning counter attacks.

We might stun them if we do put on a cohesive attack.

A boring 0-0 would be an achievement.

Whatever the outcome of this season. Let's get the defence sorted out. Last season the problems were so very apparent. This year against clinical finishers we're paying the price.

Another game which matters on McDermotts selection and tactics on the result.

We need to win the battle in midfield and make sure Swansea don't have time on the ball. If they are going to pass the ball make sure it is in defence. I was at the game in Swansea and their defence looked shaky when they were harassed.

4-2-3-1 when we are attacking and 4-5-1 when we are defending.

My Team- Federici, Gunter/Cummings, Pearce, Mariappa, Shorey, Karacan, Guthrie, Kebe, HRK, McAnuff, Le Fondre.

1-0 Reading

McDermotts team: Federici, Gunter, Gorkss (Because Pearce conceded one goal), Mariappa, Harte (Because Harte does well against pacey wingers), Kebe, Legsofwood, Tabb, McAnuff, Pog, Hunt.

0-2 Swansea

Lets try and win the battle (Midfield) before we win the war (Game), McDermott.

I think we'll win this one, not sure of the score though.

3-1, followed by the traditional beatdown of West Ham and coupled with pointless Chrimbos for QPR, Wigan and Soton and we're out of the drop zone for new year

Going to be optimistic and go for a lucky 1-0, Pearce from a corner.

Reading 1-1 Swansea

Kebe with a smart finish after a well timed run into the box on 39 mins. Michu the goalscoring carthorse equalises on 76 mins after barging everyone out of the way to shin it home.
