Ian Royal
Lacoste Thats bollox - happy to be proved wrong though.

Him, Guthrie and Jem in a midfield 5 would at least be able to pass the ball.

Except Jem.

Sorry Brian will always play Leig.

Huddlestone is one of those players that needs to find a team where he'll play week in week out in order to get his career taking off again.

He could be such a good player if he steers clear of injury and plays consistently. I'd be very happy if he did that with us and he'd be ideal as a replacement for Legeirtwood as part of a shift to a better style of football.

Rumours going around that Spurs have agreed terms with Sneijder.... Makes this move more plausible....

My thoughts exactly. Having watched back the game against MC, Legsofwood has totally no pace or change of speed and is alarmingly deteriorating game by game. Still whether McDermott chooses to see the obvious is debatable and he will probably still play Legsofwood from the start with Huddlestone on the bench (if he comes)

He made the right decision back then though. No he needs a move, even just on loan to prove his fitness, and he'd do us. And we're local. Sounds likely enough and he'd improve our midfield massively.

His "right decision" was at the commencement of our second season in the Prem on the back of our eighth place...no?

Wanted to be a billy big bollox, Reading not big enough for him....would rather he not be bothered with us again, thank you....but I dont like him and I'm just cutting off my nose etc etc

Money talks. We would have at best offered him 20k a week then, where as now we're paying out 35k+ to Pog, Guthrie, and more for Arshavin if it happens. I hate the PL for it, but if you sell your soul then the egos will come.

Never rated him much to be honest, however he is better than what we have got so would be happy to see him arrive here. Couldn't give a shit if he turned us down before. That was then and this is now so if the circumstances are right for both parties now then he is welcome here.

If Sneijder comes in, Sigurdsson is more likely than Huddlestone because Sneijder plays in Sigurdsson's position. Sigurdsson would also be better for us as Huddlestone is another Guthrie (not that I'd object to that) whereas Sigurdsson is something we don't have.

Not that it matters, as Sneijder almost certainly won't reduce his wage demands enough for Spurs to take him.
