noelgallagher Leigertwood has the worse first touch I've seen from any player in this league. How on earth does he get his name on the team sheet each week?

He's got to have some form of blackmail or something. He is absolutely terrible. First touch and pass are just woeful and he seems to ruin any form of momentum.

Ledge and mcanuff off, HRK and Tabb in. That should do.

TBF - most of our players either can't control or can't pass to a team mate at the moment.

Reminds me of when we tried this formation against Spurs. clueless, the 1000s that stayed away made the right choice.

In reality, we will stay with the formation and team until the 70th minute.

we all knew how this game would go. playing swansea is a headache for every team in the league because of the way they play. fluid, sharp passing and most possession. if anyone is actually surprised that we have to sit back and hit on the break they are deluded.

I think McD's finally realized five in the midfield is the way to go. That should not have taken him 17 games to figure out. Swansea not really looking like scoring except for our glaring defensive errors.

If he insists on playing Ledge, can we at least put Tabb on in the midfield and give Jem a go at right back?

Agreed. Leigertwood is useless at this level, and unless McAnuff has the ball at his feet to run with, he is also useless. He dithers and the moment passes. He offers zilch when he comes into the middle as well. At least McCleary wants to bomb forward at every opportunity, and HRK is useful in front of goal.

^^^This. Plus, once again...why are some people making McAnuff a scapegoat. He is putting a decent shift in.

Agreed. 6 shots, 5 off target vs our one shot off target suggests they are the only side looking like winning today.

Incidently, we had 36% possession.. at home!

We push forward and then nothing.

The support is terrible - no one is waiting in the goal area for the ball to be delivered. When they are the cross or pass is terrible.

Ideal Johnny Salad on Sky just now saying how possession is 80-20 Swansea, and how we still haven't had a shot on goal.. jeez.. sounds like we're getting dicked on again.

We look better going forward than we did against City, but worse defensively. A more balanced performance I suppose.

To be honest, Swansea don't look like scoring unless we make a mistake. We're pressing well when they have the ball, especially around our area. The majority of their possession has been passing it around defence and midfield because of this.
