So then why, nicky shorey, the player with the most accurate crosses and set pieces in the entire league got dropped?

Because a defender's primary job is to defend: in the last two games (minus the 10 minutes or so that Shorey has been on the pitch) we have kept 2 clean sheets.

Not difficult is it?

(By the way Peter, nice of you to include your IQ in your user name)

Absolutely. Couldn't disagree with a single word.

(Not necessarily in the order in which you used them though)

Minor thing I noticed today - HRK did really well at winning headers from high balls. Judged it well when up against someone who would win it and did the old jump half a second early or jump slightly into them etc while being prepared to immediately chase a loose ball. Don't think there was a single header he contested today that wasn't made into a nightmare for the other player.

That is all

USA_Loyal_Royal gunter is worthless.

Kept Routledge out of the game, Oh yes i recall swansea scoring two on the last encounter, Oh yes i recall Gunter keeping Sergio Aguero at bay last week but he only plays for Man City ok he made an error today but to be part of a defence that only concedes 1 goal against Man city and swansea that will do for me and to be part of a defence that got our only win i would say priceless not worthless, any way off out now clubing more to life then slagging players off.

The first half was more boring than the most boring thing on the planet sleep-inducement.

The 2nd half was a bit more lively but by the end Reading had created one worthwhile shot in 90 minutes which, to be honest, is utterly unacceptable at any level for a home team.

Overall two totally non-descript sides totally cancelling each other out.
