Feds has the best kicks and throws, power and accuracy both better than McCarthy.
McCarthy makes better decisions with his distribution.

Yes a good save from Dyer's header but he's still too tentative coming off his line, either for crosses or through balls

Still has a tendency to stay on his line too much when he should claim the ball, but has been an excellent shot stopper in last few games.

Jusr read post about Mikkel Anderson, Good solid keeper, don't blame him, he is only thinking of his future, I saw him a couple of times at Mem ground Bristol Rovers, He did a good job down here, my rovers mates always mention one of the best loanees they have had, they wish they had him now.

Ideal One match without conceding and all of a sudden he's Peter Shilton..

Laughable isn't it? People are so fickle.

More than one good game he has been gradually getting back his confidence in the last few weeks could've been double figures against the arse if it wasn't for him and Saints could've scored more. Noticed yesterday that he wasn't wearing the knee support he has been wearing since the start of the season. Not that the likes of genericroyalfan and (not)ideal will give him any credit.

Yes, he had a good game yesterday. Doesn't make up for the numerous mistakes he has already made this season.

Last season Michel Vorm made a couple of mistakes in his first three or four matches.

By the end of the season, he was being talked about as one of the best performing goalkeepers of the season, alongside Hart and Krul.

One of the most encouraging things he did against Swansea was holding onto a shot. In previous games he would've been happy just to bat those away without any real control over where it was going

Is it just me or has Federici's spike in form coincided with the confirmation of McCarthy's long-term absence? Perhaps, rather than being able to up his game to meet the competition, he needed to be able to relax about his game.

Either way, I'm happy that he's settled into his old self.

Can't deny he has hit some good form and has made some good saves to keep us in recent games. I only want what's best for my beloved club.

You can believe that McCarthy is a better keeper and a better long-term option (and a nicer bloke, too) without necessarily h8ing Federici, you know ......
