Well Sam Allardyce's teams are still set out the way they always have been.

Dirty dirty side, they could have had two men sent off today were it not for a poor officiating display.

I liked the fact we gave it back though - About time we starting showing a bit of needle & nastiness. Been far too soft this season...

Definitely, Jimmy Kebe was loving it today, I'm guessing McD took him off as they were worried he'd either get sent off himself or have his leg broken

8 more wins from the remaining 18 games will be good enough to stay up.

I still think it will be around the magic 40 points and yes 8 wins and 3 draws gets us there

7 wins will be enough with a few draws thrown in. If we can sneak a couple of unlikely away wins or cheeky away points then all of a sudden things don't look so gloomy.

Was dreading going new years day but now feeling we might give a decent account of ourselves & not get thrashed 6-0.

Just to keep things calm and rational - you all realise that we've won 2 out of 20, and we're now talking of winning 7 of 18.
We haven't even found the path through the trees let alone got out of the woods just yet

But it is not unreasonable to hope for that level of improvement...yes we are going to have some games to write off

(eg the next one) but this season has always been about what we do against the teams at our level in our own mini league

plus the odd bonus point from elsewhere so it is still game on.

Hope the same video refs who got Cole off last week get the chance to balance things up on Monday by the way..if it was caught on camera.

Quite agree but if somehow they hit a nice little run i.e. 7 pts or more from 4 games on the spin then we are back in the hunt.

I'm not suggesting we're relegation certainties but we need more than a couple of wins to make a trend.

We are a post xmas team & we did win 14 of the last 17 last year so you just never know.....

We definitely need at least 3 'shock' results though.

For me, the biggest change is that we're now starting to show some character.

In previous matches we were just being rolled over or we just surrendered the initiatve.

Now we're standing up for ourselves and digging in. That's CHARACTER!

QPR & Wigan got a fair few shock results last year. Not completely out of the question. The PL is a pressure cooker & every dog has its day.

Agreed - we need to be nastier & dig in & it looks like we are.

Cockneys quite splenetic on KUMB.

Most satisfactory.
