He sounds good, but then I think if he was that good why did no one else want him?

Lols if that's true. Guessing we have sold him the "project" even if that entails going down for a bit...

His choice maybe! Small fish in a big pool (playing rotation football at Chelsea for instance) or a big fish in a small pool (playing weekly and possibly being outstanding)

Fair enough, and why such a low price, I'm guessing he's getting good wages tho

Bloody hell you guys, you ask for high prifile signings, we get one in and you are doubting him just because hes coming to little Reading.
my guess is we are paying him top dollar to get him in, no idea why the fee is so low, maybe because his contract is up in the summer.

Atletico Madrid are considering lauching an offer for Sporting centre-back Daniel Carrico, according to A BOLA.The 21-year-old is highly rated in his homeland of Portugal and is believed to be a likely choice for the Seleccao in the future.

A product of Sporting's youth ranks, Carrico has attracted interest from a number of clubs across Europe, with Manchester City and AC Milan both keeping tabs on him.

Atletico are now reportedly ready to race to the front of the queue to sign the defender, who has a buy-out clause of €20 million.

The Colchoneros are understood to be in the market for a new centre-back, and have placed Carrico high on their list of priorities after failing to prize Luisao away from Benfica.

With the Lions keen to boost their transfer coffers, it is believed that Carrico's sale could happen for a fee of just €15 million

Nowhere near match fit, only two games this season, going to take a little while to get up to speed I would say.

considering he was quoted at £15m last year when man city man u and real madrid were tracking him, even he has lost a bit of form that doesnt suddenly make him a bad player
