Feds is a decent kepper, not as good as Mccarthy but decent enough to be a number 1 for any championship side and some prem teams. He needed replacing early season that's for sure but that can happen to lots of keepers. I think Mccarthy is a league above him but in form feds is good enough for sure (same as Marcus was)

Appears to have his confidence back after a shakey start to the season.

Keep it up mate and ignore some of the the idiots that frequent this forum.

Ideal
PistolPete The Federici haters need to crawl back out the woodwork and man up...

2 out of 15 games without a calamitous error, yeah, that's real impressive. oxf*rd off!

Get over it, two of the players you love to hate had decent games yesterday, no ammo for your gun except childish insults, I agree crawl back under your stone until you find the reason to slag off Pog and Feds again.

Federici back to his normal self now. Good to see. Would still have Alex Mc over him though

Yeh Feds has sorted out his head, which is good for us for the rest of the season.

I just wish Guthrie had settled better, we wouldn't be in this mess

I thought Federici was outstanding again today - didn't have a real chance with any of the goals, and certainly kept us in it on quite a few occasions.

Delighted that he's showing the sort of form that got us up last year as we're going to need it over the next few weeks!

Terrible at the start of the season. Shakey when he came back. But he's been superb the last two games (bar some dodgy kicking).

Nice to see he's found his form, shame he couldn't start the season with it. We might be in a different position. Mind you, you could level similar criticisms at loads of our players and plenty of them haven't turned their form around.

Apart from passing the ball direct to a Spurs player from a goal kick and nearly fumbling a straight forward shot.

First 20 mins he looked nervous and made mistakes that can punish teams. To be fair to him after that he was superb.

He may have fumbled it but he got back on it denying Adebayor a chance to follow it up. Two very minor errors that pretty much every keeper does in most games. Considering they had 30 shots and 20 on target and watching some of his saves it is almost a miracle that we only conceded 3 goals. Had he not been alert it could have got embarrassing in the second half

The fumble is debatable, but I wouldn't call an inch perfect pass staright to Lennon 40 yards from goal whilst under no pressure the sort of error keepers make every game.

Don't get me wrong, he has certainly improved, but he needs to keep cutting out the errors from his game to really fill supporters with condfidence.

Ideal Feds makes sure to be slightly off from where he should be most of the time, hence the ball finds its way into the net.

Yep, you're right, let's use a league 2 keeper as an example of how Federici could be better

Ideal Perfect example is WBA 2nd goal, feds sligthtly off position, caught flatfooted, harmless shot from a million miles out should never have been a goal.

Some people aren't too bright are they!
Lakuku was allowed to run for ages with the, and given space to shoot. Feds didn't know which side the ball was going to go, so he stayed central assuming he'd opt for the far corner. Mapps (who's doing well), gave Lakuku a bit too much room, which Feds berated him for.
We wouldn't be in this division if it wasn't for Feds, so shut up and be grateful we've got 2 top 'keepers here

I always thought that page one of the goalkeeping manual the first thing you learn in goalkeeping school - is narrowing the angle. There was no sign of that - staying central only works when you have a player coming straight forward centrally - for anyone coming from an angle you cut down his options by making sure the near post is covered, so all the forward can do is go for teh far post and so you know which way the ball is going. Stay rooted in one place and the forward has two places to shoot - narrow the angle and he has one. Simples!

And we wouldn't be in this division if it wasn't for Gorkss and Leigterwood either. Shall we make them beyond criticism?

Exactly, Dirk.

Feds' form has been getting better and better but in this instance he got it wrong. Narrow the angle and you leave Lukaku one option - and if the striker buries it in the far corner then fair enough, it's a quality finish. As it happened, Lukaku had two corners to aim at, and the near post was the easier finish.

I don't think Fed's was at fault yesterday for the second goal, however I feel he should of done better. Still he's playing well at the moment, he's obviously being pushed all the way by Taylor.
