urz13 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2179815/Andrey-Arshavin-Fulham-radar.html

''Fulham are considering a swoop for Arsenal outcast Andrey Arshavin.
Zenit St Petersburg are leading the race to resign the Russia international, but Arshavin's preference to remain in London is hindering the deal.
Arshavin's wife Julia is expecting their third child, and they are keen to school their children in London.''

''Arshavin, who hasn't travelled with Arsenal on the club's pre-season tour of Asia, is deemed surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium, and could be sold for just £1million.
Fulham haven't made a firm offer for the 31-year-old, who has just one year remaining on his current deal and would have to take a cut on his £80,000-a-week wages.
Qatari side Al-Sadd are also hopeful of sealing the signature of Arshavin.
The ambitious Doha-based club are seeking a second big-name signing following the capture of Spanish legend Raul.''

Surely Anton and Pavel could have a word, a steal at 1m.

Old quote surely?

It would appear that LightwaterRoyal and Divvy haven't read the last few pages.

I would take him on loan for the rest of the season put him in the Guthrie position in the 5 midfield to provide us with more of an attacking threat, with him being on loan means he knows he is in the shop window so he will need to perform to attract interest from clubs whilst helping us to get out of the relagation zone

Well it was just a thought :)

The problem with someone like Arshavin is that he will have a host of clubs after him so, even if RFC have been trying to court him, he'll probably hold out to see if another offer comes in, meaning he won't be here early in jan. Though I'm doubtful he'd come at all. If anyone bigger than us comes in he'll go there.

This is probably rubbish but I've heard arsenal want federici as part of the deal, but its stalled as we trying to get lee camp as a replacement for 700k first

2 world wars, 1 world cup this thread is going in a circle, everyone is recycling the same information that we already know. it is basically the team board.

Maybe, but I heard that this thread is repeating on itself and everyone is just saying the same thing that we heard previously, a bit like the team board.

Arshavin would be a great capture, but I do fear the panic of playing Championship football will be enough to push him away

I would love to have him here, Rogic is only a short-term capture.

Get him in on a loan deal until June 2013 and then if we stay up deal with him 'when de boot comes in'

Do not think he is coming as Brian has played the rumour down.

We are too small for his ego.

actually, a lot of the ones that brian plays down are the ones who usually come here. we all play down the rumors for various reasons, mainly to not let competition know who were are going in for.

So what new evidence of this signing is there?

Really think Arshavin could make the difference in us staying up. Seems to have gone quiet though..
