I don't remember Sig getting great reviews at Crewe at all in all honesty.

Jake Taylor played about 55 mins, good link up play, not alot else. Struggled to get into the game (from what I saw on an awful stream).

D'Ath still on the bench.

Showed some good touches, but was impossible to exhibit any real class amidst some diabolical football being played by both sides.

I distinctly remember a quote from Crewes Manager (is it still the same guy?) saying Sig was the best talent he's had at the club in a long time.

Dario Grady? Or did he finally retired? I know he left for a bit then came back again didn't he?

Crewe fans I spoke to tipped Sig to break into our first team whilst everyone was wetting themselves over Scott Davies scoring against Chelsea

melonhead personally id say 3 from that list, hector d'ath and ugwu, but you never can tell, anything could happen, players tail off,hit ceilings, and improve at inconstant rates etc

but then ive only ever seen little clips of them and have no real idea on their true ability and potential. im left doing so on the shaky basis of the odd comment on here, the odd goal on the league football show, how many games they play for their loan clubs and how much RFC seems to rate them by the ammount they big them up

id say considering youd all have made those comments about pearce, morrison, karacan, etc etc etc etc when they went on loan to league 1 and 2 clubs,i should ignore what you say

yeah, its probably more probable that the majority of that list wont quite make it, but its so reliant on a load of factors weve not really assessed, as to make it probably so devoid of actual point, that its not really worth saying.

not that this has ever stopped me posting

so carry on

and ill carry one posting :| s

bye!

Just seen this reply. Pretty sure that over the years I haven't written off the likes of Pearce, Morrison or Karacan as it happens, but those that struggled to make bigger impacts on loan at lower levels, like Hector, Davies or even Church to an extent, will struggle to make careers at a higher level if they're not pulling up trees in League 2 by 19/20.

Pearce was playing at a higher level at a younger age and playing on a more regular basis in his proper position than Hector. He was also getting better reviews from what I remember.

I'm not writting the current youngsters off, but just pointing out your :| :| :| response to the idea that most of them are never going to be good enough for the Championship as a typically over positive view with little founding in fact or reality.

He got rave reviews from their boss and fans.

Funnily enough, I've just found this:

From 6k to 25k in three years for BHA.

I'll be watching that one closely. Might even catch a couple of games. He'll be involved a lot next season I imagine. Could see Hunt, Pog and Roberts go this summer.

Closed forum so no link, but I'll pick out a couple of quotes:

On that performance, we have a forward line who are good enough. Samuel did well, and was outstanding with his back to goal, and on the turn. Wide players did well

I like Samuel, has a bit of everything about him and think he'll improve in his time here.
