Sorry to put a spanner in the works, but doesn't that little diddly bit under the 'c' mean that it is not pronounced with a hard 'c' sound but rather a 'th' sound?

Interesting to see how our songsters deal with that one.

The Portuguese don't do the 'th' thing, it's a soft 'c' like an 's'.

In spite of this, fans and commentators will undoubtedly refer to him as Karriko, which will sound uncannily like the way a lot of them pronounce Karacan as well.
