All sounds great to me, but what happens when he discovers that the Madstad isn't our training ground?

Ian Royal
Royal91 Get him straight in against Crawley.

Won't happen. He doesn't even turn up until Thursday. McDermott has said he'll need to see him in training for a while first too. He *might* make the bench for West Brom.

Well, as we know "watching in training" means at least six months of it.

The West Brom quote, will be talking about a cup game with them in 2013/14. the "might" depending on if we draw them.

Do You See?

I'd really like a catchphrase as easily identifiable as Thou Voice but don't think i have what it takes to pull it off

Looks like Carrico is training today, if he's fit would like to see him on the bench against Crawley at least. Make him feel welcome.

'greed. I'd be tempted to give him some sort of game at Crawley, sort of thrown him in sink or swim job, maybe a half or 20 minutes.

If he's a tough guy as reputed then he won't be phased by the no doubt physical nature of the game and might pick up some match fitness.

Say he plays well, would be a massive bonus.

Chuck him on up front with 20 mins to go, could get a goal which would do wonders for his confidence.

Hi all,

Daniel Carrico is a superb signing for Reading FC. A born leader, can pass the ball well, very good at break-up play. Will suit your style of getting the ball out to the wingers.
I know that at the beginning of last season Tottenham Hotspur had a bid rejected of 8.5m euros (Near enough £7m). Be interesting to see how he gets on.

If that's true, it makes you wonder what's happened to make his worth slump so much in such a short time.

It's a post by a 'new' member called "EPL ITK" and you're doubting whether it's true?

Hasn't he played 3 matches this season - frozen out due to contractual disagreements or lack of negotiation.

Looks like a decent signing. Man City looked to be signing him about 18 months ago also, I guess some of the big guns would have liked him to have been involved with the Portuguese national side though.

From my Porto-supporting Portuguese friend:

'He can play as a defensive midfielder as well, but his best performances were in the CB position. The good thing about him is his personality. His commitment is strong and I'm sure he'll give all he's got in every game. He was an U-21 international and he is still young so I see some potential in him.'

In a month he'll be glad he inserted a relegation release clause into his contract.
